My biggest concern with a good safe is if something goes wrong and you get locked out getting in will be very expensive.

If you can afford a $10k + safe, you are better off with a safe room IMO.
You can hide the entrance for one, and you can have 8” thick concrete walls / ceiling with steel plate inside. Much more cost effective.
Spend $2-3k on a good door, and do the rest yourself. It’s not that hard.
