There is the Henry and the Browning BL22, but is there anything else available for sale in Canada now? What is the absolute best 22 lever money can buy? THANKS

Uberti makes their 1866 in 22lr and 22 mag in either the sporting rifle or the carbine like I have here. There is also. The winchester94/22 though no longer made it is available used though it has achieved cult status and can be a bit pricy. And there is the Marlin 39 as well

Either a Marlin 39 or Winchester 9422.
Have to find a good used one, but these classics are superior pieces.

Thanks everyone. Looks like the options are a Henry or Browning - those being the only two actually for sale in Canada right now.

tiriag is 100% CORRECT ,,,,,,,, these 2 are the BEST.

^this...but..

If "available in Canada" means "new rifle, only interested in purchasing in store", Henry/Browning probably IS the best answer. I've never even handled a Marlin 39, but I once owned a Winchester 9422. Sold it for 1/2 of what they're going for today, and that was less than 10 years ago. Keep in mind, the old Marlin/Winchester were all-steel/wood guns, and while I don't have an issue with alloy receivers, the only Henry's I've shot had them. Never held/shot a Golden boy, so can't comment on those.

Uberti makes their 1866

That Uberti looks awesome! I had to google it and found the 24" octagonal bbl @ $1,705.00 at one of the Sponsor's site. A bit rich for my blood....

I owned a really nice Bl22 with a satin/nickel finish receiver many years ago. The fit and finish was amazing.
I really wanted to like that lever but it never fit me properly and while the trigger broke like a glass rod... it was heavy. Also, I could not get used to the short throw of the one piece lever/trigger assembly.

I don't know what the best .22lr lever $$ could buy is but Henry's are hard to beat for best value $$ can buy.
I've owned several of them now and my fav is the 16.25" large loop Carbine. Fits and balances nicely and for (what I paid) under $400 OTD I'm not too concerned carrying it thru the woods for informal plinking......

BL-22 is really nice! Short bolt throw is fun when you want to do a mag dump :)
No the greatest if you have large hands though.

Their is the field Grade II if you like a longer 24' barrel. More expensive though.

Just remember that Henry has several models to choose from.........
I've owned most of the above except the Uberti; the henry's have had the smoothest action, even shooting shorts.

94/22 hands down the best, I have owned many different types
I have a 94/22M and I love it; I can shoot 22WRF out of it for a lower velocity and flatter projectile..and cheaper that 22WMR!
Dead accurate at 50yards or use the WMR for great accuracy at 150yards.
If you can find one buy it...great investment
