-Tavor/x95 is a good choice, but not the most accurate.
-RA XCR seem to have its stuff together now and be true with the loctite issue
-ACR DMR suppose to be accurate and reliable but weighs 2 ton lol
-ATRS modern varmint (have one and my pic) is AR like , can be light and very accurate and use many AR parts. But is expansive and has a long wait for delivery. On a side note the "factory model" should be in better price competition with the tavor and xcr.
-Benelli mr1, has AWFULL ergos and mix review on accuracy but is the cheapest of the one I have mention above
-swiss arm is supposedly awsome but does not take ar mags and to me is over price(in the $4000 range?)
-kel tec SU16, is cheap light and accurate as most on this list, but the polymer receiver might blow in your face lol.
-mini 14,(had one) well its not really tactical, its good as is bit to me sucks in a chassie. I would give it a second look wen it was 700-800 dollars a couple of years back but at $1200-1300 no thanks
-t97,(had one) to me the HORRIBLE ergos ( safety at the back and impossible mag release ) were bad enough, without concidering that there is zero protection for an out of battery explosion in this bullpup, plus due to the mag redesign fts are common.
-223 vz58 (I have a x39) light but not optic friendly, a scope is double but the setup will probably suck. Plus the vz had many more part failure problem compare to the cz858.
-b&t apc556, very nice, accurate, pricey and once the buzz was over was drop on the ee by many due to the fact that it was a big monetary investment that had an unpractical stock and weight more then many 308 rifle.
I did go with the Modern Varmint, it was expansive but I do not regret it and would do it all over again. I would say my second choice would be the tavor.
