Best quality and accurate bolt?

Buy a new sako 85 for nearly 3k and you’ll realize that spending more money often doesn’t get you a better hunting rifle

No kidding! SAKO should be ashamed of themselves for asking such a price for such a lifeless rifle.

iron cat has it right about several 'smiths being able to produce a very accurate and completely dependable rifle for less.

I am a fudd that loves accurate rifles that feed, fire, extract, and eject, properly every time.

Nothing gets folks fired up better then who makes the most accurate rifle…the best production rifles I have shot( come off a rifle factory floor, built buy folks who bring a lunch bucket to work..) were Sako, Schultz & Larsen and Weatherby. The Shultz & Larsen is really nice.
Once you go custom-$3500 is a starter, and the best I shot were a mix of different trued actions( a lot of Remington actions), custom made barrels,Timney triggers, list goes on and on. For hunting I think a 1” MOA is nice to have, but honestly the long range accuracy thing has gone way too far. There are not many situations where you should take a 400 yard shot, never mind 800 yards( this really raises hackles for some folks).
Being in the field, finding a worthy animal to take, and deciding to kill an animal on that first shot,as opposed to sitting at a bench hitting paper, are worlds apart in many ways.If you hunt, most of the time you will be carrying or handling your rifle. How it feels, functions, handles hunting situations,as well as how it looks, are probably as important as the MOA.Also depends how you see a rifle, some see it as only a tool, some guys see it as more than that.
