Are there any jurisdictions in Canada where it's specifically illegal to shoot a bigfoot ? I just watched Les Strouds two part series and he claims to have had unusual encounters in northern Quebec , northern Ontario , Alberta , British Colombia , Alaska and maybe the Yukon . I see it as no different than shooting coyotes to sell their hides or any trapper and the first person to clock a bigfoot would be an instant millionaire . Doesn't matter to me if they walk on two legs or what they look like , for a million apiece i'd clock the whole family .
Im an avid hunter and fisher but honestly I don't think I would EVER kill one unless it was in self defense if I seen one. If they are out there they're just another rarity of the world's creatures. Just like albino deer, moose, and ghost/spirit bears I couldn't see myself shooting one it's just a good feeling knowing that there are very unique and different animals out there. Not pulling the trigger would make me feel good knowing that I gave them another day of life. Everyday there are less and less unique/endangered/protected species that eventually become extinct.
