Bought a surplus x95

Its not going to get taken from me. I know a lot of Rpal users here in my area with ar15s, and their ar15s still are at home but no longer registered to them

Our government has too many issues to even focus on that even

They are still registered. But the registration certificate has been revoked. 2 different things.

A. No, but i have seen people keep their ar15s at home and locked up so.

B. Also i've seen the letters saying they had to turn it in similarly to the recent thing, it's been three years and none of them that I know of did and they got their licenses still. It cannot leave the house at all unless you want a one way trip to jail

C. Im not saying that the whereabouts of the firearms are destroyed, I'm saying its a excuse that the rcmp can make if they go opps sorry we tried to ask nicely, but we don't feel comfortable. The issue the RCMP is there is little to no funding, and the incentive to just march into a place that has guns in said place even with the rules in place doesn't make them feel safe to do, that why you are asked to turn them in, not just march down to the rcmp offices. The RCMP don't want to put in too much effort to take guns anyways, they will try, but with the least amount of effort

D. The people who have ar15s are taking a risk in keeping them

A. All of us with AR15's still have them.

B. You haven't seen any such letter because no such letter ever went out to AR5 owners.

C. Not really sure what you're getting at here but the RCMP have not asked anyone to turn in an AR15 so ..........

D. We AR15 owners are not taking any risk keeping our rifles at this time because the govt has not required that we turn them in. There is currently an amnesty in place until the end of Oct but the govt will have no option other than to extend the amnesty because they are incompetent and haven't got a clue how to take all these rifles away from us.

I have a restricted pal, but when buying a r gun, you have to also get a license for that gun printed out same goes with my first R gun, and you have to wait. I bought it on ####### and i had to wait for the transfer to complete first, it won't likely happen now, and the seller is going to e transfer the money back

Since the seller just found out about it, and its a trusted sellers, im getting a refund back though e transfer for what i paid for, or i can just buy a different gun off from him

You are confusing a registration certificate with a "license." A registration certificate is NOT a license. Your PAL is a license. The L in PAL stands for License. There is no such thing as a "license for a gun", its a registration certificate.

D.they may decide instant prohibition and needs to be surrender within 30 days ... that option may not occured to you but it might happen that way.

Not much really to tell. I never asked again about it and recently they bought a bren2 as a cope gun which some of them said to me, well if this gets banned too, im just going to take it down for parts and sell it but they don't know if they are allowed to do that

And I quote from my next door guy, If they want it they can come get it themselves, i paid a lot of money for my colt ar15 and these are hard to find now even before the oic ban

I went with the su16e instead because the bren2 are expensive still and out of stock again, and the x95 are hard to find unless im willing to drop a similar amount of money too and they are out of stock and i need to save for a car so the su16e being one of the few budget rifles that don't share the ar180 issues is a godsend

I already have one restricted rifle that was painful to get. I rather not get a restricted rifle unless its a sbr, if its going to be a 16 inch rifle, i may as well get one in a 18 inch anyways and put up with the weight like the x95 or similar, if money wasn't a issue and there wasn't a upcoming ban maybe then a bren2 would be fine, i can deal with it being restricted and running that risk

They tried to log into the online site for their pal to see if their ar15s is registered when the new update came out before trying to purchase a bren2. Their ar15s are not listed by their registered setup when they tried to file for a ATT or something. I did the same thing when i was trying to see where my ps90 is listed and its there if i try to file for a ATT that really it

I mean you can ask the folks who have ar15s still if they claim to have them on here.

they are not anymore register but if you did an atipp on your profile they will tell you you had one ...or 2 or more ... it is not gone despite what some seems to believe.

AR15 are listed under 3rd category, called "Administratively Expired Registration Certificates": all info like make, model, serial, "prohibited" status. When you try to do ATT it take firearm from the first category "Valid Registration Certificates" and it seem portal also applies filter "restricted" to the guns from first category.

Well that makes perfect sense.

But lets be honest. Our rcmp are lazy they aren't going to be able to go door to door to everyone in a area to just come and take guns if they think there is guns in that area. But I don't think natives are as compliant as a example

But they can however go towards one person and make a example out of the person if its easy to do

I don't know what to tell you though. For some reason that what i was told three years back and the rcmp did sent letters out.

Again i don't know, all i know is i saw a letter in passing, and never asked again about it and yes they told me that they can't just take their rifle out to the range, its just kept locked up

They got a letter like this

Remember Im still a new gun owner, and I haven't ever encounter these issues yet. And im only going by what people showed me irl

that letter had nothing to do with surrender the rifle.

So if it just a letter that revokes the registration of the gun. Then what the point then? If you get to keep it, and you cannot take it outside then why bother to just revoke the license then?

Is the whole thing meant to be so people can't use them anymore, or is it more to do with the liberal party wanting votes by pretending they are tackling gun crime by going after the wrong people?
