Bought an AK today...

Well, I have been down here for almost a year and I finally bought an AK.

Its a Zastava N-PAP. I was actually in the store to get another AR-15 but I saw this for $499 with 2 mags and I couldn't resist.

If it makes you guys feel any better I would trade it for a vz58 in a heartbeat. They are just harder to find. Waaaay better rifle, I don't care what the AK fanboys say.

No one ever hounded me. Everything was simple and the people were very helpful. You would find that in the USA the government employees mostly work with you instead of against you. They are much different than in Canada.

Hehe. Honestly though, the fit and finish on even the nicest AKs is lacking. They are heavier, fatter and just more crude feeling than the VZ58s. The advantage goes to the AK for mags (7.99 for steel 30rd mags) and parts I suppose. If I end up buying a VZ58 down here, I will do a side by side review for you guys.
