I was checking them out online and noticed that ct has a smoker box that you place on the lower grill. I'm wondering if that would add a decent amount of smokey flavour to burgers and such, without purchasing a seperate smoker?
Take some wood chips and soak them overnight in water. Double wrap them in aluminum foil, punch small holes in the upper surface and place them directly on the bbq burner beneath the grill. Turn the BBQ to high, and once it begins to smoke, turn down the heat and grill with the cover down.
Is the digital really worth $100 more? What does it offer?
Be nicer if you could get more heat out of them for sure.Slow to get up to temp, and recovery time is not real fast.
On the Bradley site (forums specifically), it seems that many users promptly modify their unit with an extra element, a fan, a PID, and many use some kind of "Bubba Puck" (?).
Can the Bradley digital smokers do a cold smoke - so smoked salmon comes out like real smoked salmon BUT not cooked - unlike my old little chief smoker
