Brand new .223 available in Canada - NS with FRT

To be fair to the Turkey Haters, there has been some cheap garbage, mostly about 10 years ago or so.... The Turks can make good guns though and anyone that can't see that is blinded by something.
I heard the same about crappy Chinese guns too. Some people just automatically throw anything that is not American or European made into the garbage bin. I wouldn't mind having a Chinese AR over Crypto though.

Was the one you owned not satisfactory?

What problems did you have with it?

Enlighten us!
My Dad bought a couple because he thought “they were a good deal”. I told him you get what you pay for and generally Turkish shotguns are not known for longevity or reliability.

Needless to say on his third outing with the O/U, the trigger mechanism failed catastrophically. The pump made it to about 250 rounds before the extractor broke. He ended up getting them repaired and selling them at a loss.

Don’t take my word for it though. Just ask James Reeves of TFB TV. Not a single Turkish shotgun he used survived a 500 round burn down. Spend your money how you like.

Yep, he got what he paid for. People want cheap stuff and expect for the best, unfortunately that's not how it works.

Buddy here claims he was getting around an inch and a half 3-5round groups with a couple different 55gr ammo types, and also says factory claims it's a 2moa rifle. He tired one 60gr load that the rifle did not like at all.
He also points out that the rifle comes with plates that can be used between the stock and receiver to set the cast and drop of the stock like on some shotguns.

This is the same video I watched.

His groups were pathetic to say the least.......:(

I didn't see any pictures of the groups which would have been nice, he did mention 3 different 55gr loads shooting 1.5moa or better, but he says most of them were only 3 rounds to keep the barrel cool and he says he shot a few 5 round groups.
Kind of a hunting accuracy test as opposed to longer strings. Pretty sure they were factory loads so likely there is room for improvement.

That's good enough for me..... :)

Turks are famous for garbage because there are many "assembly factories". In this case it is well known factory. Expectation high , reality will see.

I see it as similar to China, the Chinese can make high quality items... but the client needs to pay more and typically most clients go to China for the cheapest cost option.

Holy ####! Glad I didn’t buy one. I’ll just clutch onto my lever actions even more now.

Need to vote! Lever are surely next; they will take anything resembling a military firearm. And you know cowboys were soldiers.

The product page says it uses standard stanag mags. Is that correct? I thought there were supposed to be no new non-restricted semi autos that were designed to use magazines that hold more than 5 rounds or however that was worded

Only if designed after C-21. This was designed before.

Even something like an B&T SPC-223 was designed pre-ban, just not sold here.

But….the Crypto was designed post Ban so who knows why more.
