Brand New CZ-75 SP-01 Tactical issue. Did I get a lemon?

well. after 3 weeks of patiently waiting, today they hung up on me. So, I filed a visa dispute. LANZ Shooting Sports(Silverdale) is not what it seems after all.

Too bad. though i have never dealt with Lanz so can't comment on them, wish i could say i haven't seen similar tactics before from some other dealers. Fortunately the vast majority will do what it takes to make sure the buyer is happy (granted sometimes that is not possible either).

if you get your money back, spend 300 dollar more get a Sphinx AT2000 or SDP instead,
my cz looked like they were made in china compared to my Sphinx, CZs are GREAT guns, but the Sphinx is the GREATEST. really is, my ST2000 is a work of art, = in finishing to Wilson combat. for what i paid, bargain of the century as well.

Bit late to this party but I'll throw in my $0.02...

I've owned 2 CZ75 pistols, have handled countless others at the range and different stores. They ALL exhibit rough machining on the inside of the slide. My shadowline has large gouges in the rails, all the ones I examined when I bought it also exhibited the same machining marks.

If you look elsewhere on the web, you will see this is a very common "issue" with CZ pistols and does not affect the functionality of the firearm in any way.

I think some people's expectations towards finish are way overblown around here sometimes. This is not a $5000 Wilson Combat, it is a duty pistol adapted to competition use. If you want perfect machining under $1000, get a Glock!

CZ priced like a SIG, machined like a NORC. Luv the get a Glock comment for good machining; that will go well with the all metal crowd.

BTW: Revolvers rules, never has a slide problem with them :)

my main issue was NOT with the tool marks, but the white ring and sliding marks. did your CZs have the white ring at the mouth of the slide when you got them? the tool marks are understandable and well discussed online as part of the poor cz manufacturing process, but I don't believe the white ring and the sliding marks, which were definitely caused by many rounds of fire, NOT caused by the manufacturer.

weird I've got 6 Shadows, none have gouges or tooling marks other than very faint ones inside the rear of the frame. I have one that had a void by the right hand detent that needed to be filled with epoxy, that's it. I've worked on hundreds of them, also never seen anything like this on a new gun.
Old CZ's from 10 years ago, maybe some rough tool marks, not anymore though.

Guess your changing you name from lucky to unlucky JK I have 2 shadows every things smooth on them hope they fix or replace your CZ

lol... I wouldn't go that far.
In a year, I got 5 pistols, new and used, with 2 conversion barrels, then this. so, it's less than 12.5% failure rate, I think it has been a joy ride. there are always bumps on the road, I won't sweat about it.

where can I get one? and how easy is to get the extra mags and parts?

nice guns, are they decocker or safety? I like decocker which was why I went with tactical, instead of shadow. also, by any chance it can use the cz mags like some of the tanfoglio models? I did buy extra mags for cz as I always have mags for 50 rounds for my guns.

we have a stocking dealer so parts and mags are non issue, I'm not affiliated with them in anyway, I just bought 2 sphinx from them, I'm absolutely blown away by it's quality, it's Swiss made after all.

DA/SA with ambidextrous decocking lever, full size cz mags works well in SDP.

ok. issue solved. gun is on the way back to store and I will get full refund, including shipping which is really nice.
