Brigade Makasi MK15 We're back in business!!

End of summer is September 21 I’m assumingt they’re not gonna wait until then to ship a couple thousand rifles so you would think some of these should start trickling in earlier this summer

Can’t wait to see the scalpers asking $3500 LOL
Brigade currently has these on sale on their own website, %15 off.
Could likely import a restricted one through IRunGuns, get it re-barreled in Canada and have it NR before these land and save yourself $3-400 along the way. You just take the risk if the liberals prohibit them along the way.

Anyone know if these are a new production run with 18.6" barrels or if they are re-barreling unsold units? I know these get great reviews but $1,500 non-AR15 5.56 rifles are a hard sell south of the border.

What is the difference between a rifle that had a 16" removable barrel installed and then replaced with an 18" barrel, and a rifle that had an 18" barrel installed from the start?
Small manufacturers can't afford thousand of rifles stockpiled and not get sold. Even if they had say a thousand, and then installed factory made 18.6" barrels - what difference does it make?

I guess it would make a difference in the ETA since there would be no need to manufacture new rifles, at least for the first batch of orders.

Tempting. I have an NR barrel kicking around, too. Though rifle length gas.

I don't care either way. I'm just thinking in terms of lead time. Swapping barrels would be much quicker than waiting on new production since the FRT was just issued.

So have you people already forgot what happened to the C-21 compliant Crusader Arms Crypto last year? The same thing will happen to this one. No point in getting excited, unless blowing $2k for a quick nostalgia fix is your thing.
some dont really care what the libtards come up with, not buying these with ANY intentions of EVER giving it to these lib####s,LOL..the biggest percentage of gun owners are NOT in the few major cities, and never stopped using any of their toys, banned or not,LOL.living in the country or having acreage sure has it's advantages,

In that case why buy another one then?

not a big deal if they have the jig and set up already, and re-test fire.

The thing with 18" barrel, they have to order from the vendor a 18" barrel with carbine gas setup. This is a weird odd ball and special order. In general barrel makers produce 18" with mid or rifle gas setup.

They have little choice here, because it is way more hassle to re-design a longer pushing ( and re-setup the machine or change order with the subcontractor) and move the gas port location. That is way more re-engineering than sticking with the already designed gas system and adjusting the gas port until it works. They also likely need to set up a new jig for gas block installation if they move the gas block location on the barrel, if they do not already have or can re-use the jig from AR. That costs more dollars and time.

They offered an 18" barrel as a stock option. It was this "model" that was submitted to the horse cops. I'm assuming if there are additional jigs or vendor logistics, they are already in place.

Manufacturer just hand build a prototype. No one is going to spend money to. set things up and tie money down until a large enough order is committed, especially the process is known to take years. The prototype is really just for show and it is probably not even tuned for actual production- like why would I spend engineering time if the FRt Process doesn’t care about the actual function or the rifle

The number one thing about "stock" is to make sure the vertical height between the top of the receiver rail and the top of the stock is measured.

For anyone who has been programmed on AR and the fact that 99.9999% of the mounting solutions created in the US is for AR, knowing that vertical distance and replicating that relationship make sure all the mounting solutions will work right out of the box.

Spoke with IRG today, they can and are importing as 3rd party, factory restricted versions for multiple individuals.

IRG does not currently list these on their websight.
