I think we need some clarification on the XCR and my hate for it. The majority of my hate does not come from use of the rifle at all. My hate comes from stripping it down and looking at it from a basic design perspective. I looked it over a lot and spent a lot of that time saying, "Why the hell would you do it like that? that just seems lazy.". It's just seems hokey as hell. Corners were cut. Spring clips holding in key parts always bothered me. Low and behold one broke after 40 rounds.
If your XCR works, more power to you. I'm glad you are happy with it. This one worked, for a bit, and we were not entirely dissatisfied by it. However, when a key functioning part is retained by a cheap pin, and said cheap pin disables the firearm, I'm not happy. Then you look at all the other stuff and it just builds, adds to the pile of dislikes. Soon the dislikes out weigh the likes.
I'll get some pictures of the bolt stop, it is beat to hell. Robarm claims that is normal, same with the pin coming out. I've never seen an AR15 bolt catch look so beat up, especially not after 40 rounds.
