It's not 18.5 and 26'' overall it's either one of them.
I'd say no one could argue if you had both but totally legal.
Will shortening the barrel require any changes to the recoil mechanism? I suppose since the barrel has less mass, it will accelerate faster, so would the "heavy load" friction lock configuration be appropriate even for light loads?
Wow...those shortened A5's look pretty ###y!
Gonna have to do a project like this myself.
Whats the best way to re-install a front sight onto these after the shortening? Drill and tap...silver solder a new post???
Be nice to have a rear peep sight as well.
20/20 hindsight - it might be better to locate the new bead before cutting...
