ACR price

As a bussiness an Import permit costs a lot of money,hence that may be where the price point difference may be coming from.MSRP is just what it suggests it is, This is not the Americans trying to screw us more like our Canadian dealers are doing the screwing Up to 50% more here than standing at a counter in the States with our dollar nearly at par.
 
Keep in mind that dealers here have to incur significant costs associated with the insane permits required to export these and other firearms. If it were that easy to "pick one up at the border" do you really think the market will bear the prices that we have here in Canada?

As far as I know, anything marked 5.56mm or 7.62mm cannot be exported for civilian use. So the factory barrel of the ACR would have to be changed down there before export and that would cost more than a couple hundred bucks. Just do the math..

I'm sure the folks down south are amused at the issues we have to go through up here...

I am buying my wife one... I know she won't use it because the only color option is tactical black, and that doesn't go with anything. This way I can just borrow it indefinitely.

Black goes with EVERYTHING, newb :p It's a neutral colour.
 
$3248 is pretty hard to justify when you can get a Swiss Arms or Tavor rifle in the same price range, either of which are made by reputable manufacturers, unlike Bushmaster.

Did that thing fire two rounds on the first round with the second mag? I know there are some ACRs in Canada. That is a fact...but I don't know who paid out the A$$ to get them here. I agree that it's WAY over priced. Just go get a Swiss rifle or a high end AR and be done with it!
