Bushnell Banner 6-24x40 = JUNK!!!!

A buddy of mine had the same thing happen with a banner he put on his 7mm! Even after I swore up and down at him "you buy cheap, you buy twice" thats just my experience. There's people out there that swear by them but they don't work for me. He bought a vortex and hasn't had a problem

Years back had several Banner scopes, all were made in Japan, and never caused me a moment of grief. Eventually moved up to a Scopechief, then 3000/3200 Elites.
Banner scopes today I don't think are made in Japan...are they???...and thus probably not the same quality as back then.

you do realize they have the adjustment range in the specs and it is meant to be about half the range of the 3x9

Both are good points to review.
I have 8 Bushnells mounted right now, from a Banner with BDC over 24 years old to a 4200 - all without issues. My good luck I guess.
Tried 4 sets of rings even windage rings .... Maxed out the elevation at 100yrds still was over the papper by 5 inches you only get 4.5'' right to left each way and less for elevation
It`s not me its the scope.... Say you turn the dial on any scope You should be able to max out the dial and the hairs should move... This type you only get 1/4 of dial use the rest of the dial does nothing to move the hairs it just clicks with zero movement

Bushnell is usually very good with warranty issues.

It was brand new ...Its how there made nothing was broken to fix on it
If you want to buy one go right ahead I would like to hear how it worked for some one else who has one.. As for me it was crap and would not give as much windage and elevation as I needed for it to have a proper zero

no, it's the MIDDLE of the line- it's the SPORTSMAN -SPORTVIEW that are the bottom of the line- it used to go sportsman/sportview( basically the same scope but built for the difference between k-mart and target or similar) then banner, then banner dusk and dawn, and then SCOPECHIEF-which is now the equivent of your elite series now - i know, we used to sell them- i've had a banner 4x12x40 since the late 70's and never had a lick of trouble with it- and it's got bdc- then i got a scopechief with rangefinder and bdc and was disappointed that the range finder only went to 600 yards on 12 power- i was shooting 892 yards with the banner measured distance

The old banner was awesome I have one on my .22 and it works just fine its just this model... And your right you do get what you pay for... Took it back and will buy a quality scope and be done with it. Its just sad that they would not even hear me out and try and fix it

Middle of the line No Way.
They offer scopes from $40 up to $1000+ and you consider the $89 Dusk & Dawn with Illumination to be middle of the line?
I would say the 3200 are middle of the line in the bushnell family. The Trophy series is only around $129 -$159 and it is a step up from the Banner line. The Bone Collector series are essentially 3200 and now the 3200 and 4200 have been replaced with the Elite Series which is preceeded by the 6500 series. The sportsman line might as well say Tasco. I won't deny that the banner is good for what you pay but it is far froma mid level scope.
The old bushnell lines where made to a higher standard probably compare to the 3200 but if you wan't quality now go for one of the higherend lines they offer.
bushnell has somewhat expanded their line from when we used to handle - there were only 3 lines. and that's the refernce i'm using- sportview , banner , and scopechief= and the sportview was 89. the banners were about a couple of hundred, and the cheif was about double that of a banner- these were all made in japan, not china like they are now, and the lens came from the nikkormat factory-
