Glad you had good luck! My experiance is the complete opposite..nothing but a runaround with no satisfaction from the CEO on down to the service dept. That's my last Bushnell produce ever.......
Other side note -- for the small investment in a decent boresighting device (I gave $20 on eBay for mine), you can diagnose scope (or mount) problems with ease. Simply put the boresighter in as if you were about to sight in the rifle -- look through the scope, and tap the scope and/or mounts with a small rubber mallet. If the crosshairs don't move, you're solid. Then crank the adjustments through their paces while looking through the scope, and watch for tracking issues.
That $20 boresighter has saved me a pile of money and time over the years (including giving me the instant heads-up (and later my money back) when I was sold a broken scope on eBay). I highly recommend everyone get one.
It is really no win - the stupid scope should be operational the first place when it comes out of the box.
I'm glad you had good service from Bushnell as for myself nothing but bullsh*t from them..Never again will I buy another Bushnell product of any kind I've learned my lesson !
I've sent several BUshnell products back for warranty work, and they usually just replace it. The real problem is that
a) it failed in the first place and was pretty new
b) It always takes months, whereas Leupold service takes a week or maybe 10 days.
Leica takes a couple of weeks...NOBODY takes as long as Bushnell...
Yes, I have owned a number of Bushnell scopes over the years, but my area is gradually becoming a Busnell-free area as well. They have replaced 2 or 3 scopes and repaired a couple, but every time, I grow older just waiting for the job to get done. One took 7 months, another 4½. If someone else has had great luck with them....they can fly at 'er. I'm done. Eagleye.
