I only own 1 22 handgun that my son and I shoot at the range. I was about to buy a new 9mm the Girsan MC28 as I found a good price on one. 330 dollars for the gun and kit but the sale ends next week.

But with all these guns Sock boy just banned I am second guessing myself. Are any of you still by restricteds or are you sitting on the fence waiting for the other shoe to drop?

Buy it while you can and enjoy it with your son, in the end it's only 300$, id say that's worth the time having fun with him

Buy from a dealer, private sales take forever to process. I've been waiting 5 weeks, so far.

BTW, that Girson MC 28, is a fine weapon at any price, and extra clips are relatively cheap, and easy to find.

If my sons were interested I'd buy and use. Unfortunately that is not the case...

That's cause you live in Ontario. Even if you buy from a dealer it'll still take 2+ months to have your transfer approved.

Buy it, it’s a great price for a great gun.
Who really knows but the word is they’ll start with municipal bans and mass storage for handguns

**8+week waiting time for transfers in ONT

Ultimately every firearm will be on the list. Just buy what you want and enjoy it. Then do what you can to fight government injustice toward legitimate firearms owners as they are certainly not going to stop fighting us.

Chris.

I too am considering buying a handgun and also worry about the ban by the federal government. Or with a delegated authority and get banned by the City of Toronto.

At the end if the day, if you can afford $330 it's not much to lose in a ban. I've lost more doing stupider things.

But I think you're safe for a while anyways because they seem bent on banning rifles and shotguns right now, not handguns. I'd do it if I were you, I'm still buying stuff that could potentially be banned.
