Fair enough. These days I only buy guns for specific purposes, so we're certainly on different paths.
Yes, I suppose it depends on how strict one is about what constitutes a "specific purpose." In THEORY I invent a purpose for everything, but in practice it's 90% "just because" or to try something I've not owned before.
I haven't handled a 452/455 in several years and have no experience with the 457 so can't comment. I was just impressed with the T1X for what it was, though the magazine is criminally ugly.
Indeed it is, but then I've never accused any Tikka of being cursed with good looks. The attraction for me is their universally outstanding performance. The T1x is a great value in that regard.
If you prefer a two-stage trigger then its a done deal - buy the Annie.
Be interesting to hear from an owner, but the literature on the Steyr lists it as a "two stage" trigger, but then I've also read it kind of isn't, in that it's more of a very short slack rather than a real two stage. Either way, not a deal breaker or even really a factor. Happy with either ultimately.
Anyway, ordered a 1416 HB G20 from Nordic last night, looking forward to it.
