Ok guys, First, please no battles. I am considering a new rifle. The objective is FUN. I am not concened with sniper grade accurracy. Most shooting will be at 50 to 100 yards. I have narrowed the choice to 3. The caliber because I am a cheap SOB is 7.62 by 39.
After a lot of study and reading I have narrowed the field to:
Ruger Mini 30: most expensive, stainless steel, reliable, reasonable accuracy in the new models.
CZ 58 NON restricted: Moderate price, requires special mount. NOT stainless
reasonable......good (?) battle field accuracy.
SKS Russian variant: Cheap, Tapco stocks available, harder to clean VS CZ(?)
the least accurate of the three........I think.
Here is the criteria:
2.5 to 3" MOA 100yards. I want to blast away
EASY to clean as the ammo is corrosive.
Mounting a red dot sight is a requirement ####ty eyes....
so added cost.
Each rifle has advantages. I have 1000.00 bucks to spend. You guys shoot more than I.
Thanks Guys!
