C1A1 - Who has em and loves em!

Unfortunately, I don't own one but carried FN C1 A1 in Army 15 years .
My last one in he Airborne Rifle Team
was a Beauty .Issued to me still in the grease when I got it in 1984
I miss that rifle.
accurate out to 600 if i did my part .

Had my fun with the C1 A1 in the Naval Reserve. Always remember our Chief Petty Officer telling us that the recoil would break your jaw if you did not hold it right.

Here's a relatively rare piece of kit. It's the MILES laser stuff designated for the FNC1. This stuff is serviceable. Just needs the 9V batteries. Also in front is the judge's pistol.
I don't know how often it was actually used in a unit. I didn't see anything like this when I did my basic in '78. I can't find too many guys who actually used this. I think the Simunition stuff came in soon after this was in the system and Sim stuff is better for training.
Obviously I would need another vest to play in the back yard:rolleyes:

Nice. I have the emitter unit that goes on the barrel but not the harness and cabling.

Here’s the laser “emitter” or whatever the nomenclature calls it.
I don’t know if there is a PAM or not but, if anyone knows or can source one, puleezz let me know.

Love that rifle!! carried it from 1975 - 1987, when we changed over to the C7. I took the FN on my first two trips to Bisley with the CF Rifle Team in 85 and 86. I took the C7 to Bisley in 1989. I made the Bisley Team three other times, but opted not to go due to other military reasons. I won the 500 yard deliberate fire at Bisley with the FN in 1985...shot a 48/50, and then shot 24/25 with the tie shots. Won a lot of stuff with the FN. Very jealous of the guys who have one. I always liked the 8L series the best.

Nope! These were bought off a friend of mine who is no longer with us. He had em before CS had them. I've met the guy who imported these all back into Canada. He was a hoot. He lives out near Guelph.

Just wondering what they're worth. No real interest in selling them.

The last one I ever saw CS selling was for something like $2100 if I remember correctly. I'll tell you they were one of my grail rifles, having been a weapons tech in the army I've always loved em.

I wish I had bought one of the C2 variations that were out there. They were registered as a semi auto - I knew of 3 in private collections.

I had a C1 sniper scope complete with body cover for the longest time.

I even own a .22 conversion kit for it. This came out of a private collection of a service rifle shooter. It was bought over the counter with "7" count em, C1's. Oh the good old days of $300 rifle purchases at CAL - HEHE!

Ah well dreaming is fun.

All the best, Carl

Why are you selling them then??

Here is my old 8L. Sold it after the gov. took all the fun out of owning them.
Should have kept it just to play with with the blinds drawn. :(
Sadly the dog's long gone too. (Damn this is getting depressing)

Hello,
Just wondering who if anybody has one of these badboys! I personally own 2 of them - ex OPP C1A1 8L series.

Both are absolutely mint. When we could bring them to the range, these things were tack drivers with match ammo. Just chewed the heck out of the brass.

I've had mine for 18 years now - geez time flies by!

I know what I paid for mine umpteen years ago. Any idea of what they're worth now days? I know only 12(5) people can own em - of which I'm happily one of em.

Other than that, really glad to be on the board as a new member.

All the best, Carl
I hope Pierre Poilievre of CCP can do better than Harper and allow the use at the ranges once again.
