C7 Foregrip Handle

It's junk... Catches on everything. And the lefty mag release sucks because you dump a mag anytime you have it close to your body.

ZuluMike,

Point taken, BUT.....

If you let one thing go, then someone else goes "Hey, if thats okay, then I can do this..."

Sometimes, its a big case of P*nis Envy.

We could go on and on. Suffices to say you have your opinion and I have mine. I say keep some measure of control here in the Great White North.
If you're training to actually go to bad places, then I can agree. We do fight like we train.

I do agree that soldiers will push the limits, but if my guys want to change things like grips, stocks, handguards, or run EoTechs, and Aimpoints that are not going to permanently alter the weapon than I say all the power to them. As far as UCR's well those are probably what got us the pos C7A2. Which is pretty much universally despised by everyone who has ever used it in the field.

By and large my whole unit is issued C7A2s so I will have to see if my wep tech has a NSN. Wonder if it will fit on my issued C8A2? The grip also looks fairly large and "clunky" I think I might prefer to do without the fold away capability in favor of something like a Tango Down ect...Then again I have'nt held the new grip so it's all spec on my part :D

The screws and plate mount will fit on any issue C7A1 or A2 or C8 forestock with the holes along the bottom. You do not have to remove the heat shield. It was reasonably stable and not much more bulky than a normal size Tango Down etc. I still do not really understand the point of the folding feature other than a flatter profile while resting on a sandbag or wall etc. Simpler would've been better in my mind.

Sorry for raising this one from the grave, but I have recently acquired a front foregrip to attach to the handguard of a C7A1, and would like to know where I can buy a rail system compatible with the C7A1? Any help would be appreciated =)

If you have the regular handguards and just want a piece of rail on which to mount the vert grip, have a look at the GG&G UFIR. Dave's Surplus should have them.

I ran 3 setups.

C9 verical grip with a washer and a 3/8" nut, GG&G rail with a KAC vertical grip. Right now im running a KAC M5 RAS with a KAC vertical grip.

Rohann I wasn't able to put a vertical grip till I got overseas, I tried to put one on my work up but I was told to take it off. What makes you think your gonna get a tour?

They're barley send privates espically in the reserves.

I've never heard that before. I know we sent...three privates on 3-08, although 2 of them got promoted before they went on work-up. We've got 7 privates set to go on work-up for 3-09.

As far as reg force goes, I can't imagine they'd let someone off a tour just because they weren't a corporal. One of the guys in our QM went over two or three times as a private when he was still with PPCLI.

Thanks for the reply, unfortunately it looks like Dave's Surplus does not carry them at the moment, and none of the websites that I've checked, that carries them, do not ship to Canada. If you have any other suggestions as to where I can acquire one at, please do share. Thanks

i ran a KAC M5 overseas, best money i've ever spent. no dice on changing optics, the guys who did change em lasted a day or so until the hammer came down. due to the ####ty mount that is on the CF M203 you have to bubba the front hood that goes over the barrel to get it to fit under the M5. if you are lucky enought to get a C8A2 then u'll have no problems with the M4 rails.
