C7A2 have arrived at our unit

Do you hate them yet?

Kind of an odd place to ask for NSN's... but what the hell...

Case, Cleaning, C8: 1005-21-897-2945 W8468-013713/A

Kind of hard to read on the back of mine, but it was worth a shot.

C7A2=POS IMHO. I definately prefer the A1 flat-top. I've never had a weapon jam and break (read: ejector got eaten by the gun) on me so much in the field. (well I did have one C6 that jammed very often once, but they are generally very reliable)

I certainly like the A2 more than the A1! Ambi controls come in handy even for a right handed shooter. Nice to be able to change the stock position too. I don't like the cocking handle much. Mostly for drill reasons. As for the jaming and breaking... I never had one jam or FTF. And I have fired several thousand rounds in various climate extremes. I cant see ejector problems being any different in an A1. Just my 2 cents.

You will come to love the ambidexterous cocking handle! It really is ambidexterous, no matter which way you carry and #### the rifle, the cocking always hooks, catches, snags, or cuts something including your fingers. See if you can find a friendly weapons tech to help you out accordingly.

that's odd considering the receivers are likely old c7a1 receivers.

I like the adjustable stock, however the extended cocking handle does get in the way with the sling loop, oh well look what the yankees got

Mine is a 91 so it originally was an A1. I kinda miss my original C7 (carry handle, iron sites) and definetly would rather have the FN C1.

Anyne got side-by-side pix of the difference? I don't own an AR yet, so I'm trying to *imagine* the ambi cocking handle...
