In cases like that, turning a blind eye to save a job/income is a must sometimes.

Poaching is poaching is poaching, no two ways about it. I'm in Wainwright and know all about this cull, yeah I agree it was terrible how they dumped the carcasses into a pit.
They even offered a surplus # of tags to us hunters but obviously not enuf were filled to meet the requirement.
These guys took game illegaly, lied about it and more than likely did it b4.

A couple of natives could do the very same thing at the same place tomorrow morning & drive the moose through town in their pickups & in McGoofy's "double standard" Ontario they wouldn't even be charged.

So why the big deal about a couple of pale faces taking a couple of moose on the sly?

Don't play the race card to make points here or try & hang a racist handle on me.

My comment was about special interest groups & abandonment of the principle of equality before & under the law (including the game harvesting laws) in Ontario and NOT racism so don't make it about RACISM!

Easy Francis, I only said that cause once one little comment gets stated a whole new topic opens up. I ai'nt playing no F'n race card fella or hanging anything on you so kool it.

Good point on the Race card, and Wookie, unlike most guys on here I understand what you're trying to say .

As far as fines and suspensions go...that won't work. Any schmuck who hunts usually works and makes half decent money...paying a fine will suck...but he won't care, he'll borrow the money from the bank, family ect. He'll pay it an da year later he'll be back to poaching...no biggie for him.

Same goes for the suspension, do you think he wont be back out hunting as soon as the season rolls around? I'll bet any gun in my cabinet that scum bag mother ####er will be back in a pickup with his buddy with a .303 Brit by his side and a can of beer in his hand...


Its not the money or suspensions that will deter (sp?) poachers...its the TIME!!! 150 hours of volunteer work, 200 hours, ect...

I'll gaurantee you that after 200-300 hours of stocking fish in the most remote, hot, bug infested locations...these guys will really think twice about poaching...
