Canadian IPSC Nationals

How can I help convince IPSC Ontario to run more stages for the nationals other than voicing my opinion from Alberta? I'll be attending either way just wondering what could be done to help rather than just whining.

Also can anyone confirm the rumour of a $350 entry fee for this 12 stage 200 round match?

I bet if the price of admission is too much we will hear more whining. Sad really. I will help all I can at Nationals and Provincials but don't envy the people running the show. I couldn't do it.

No matter what, this is going to be the greatest match ever knowing who is running it.
Pretty sure work invitation will go out same way as responding to people's emails and phone calls.

After looking around and checking the official match pages there is no round count posted stage count posted nor is there any mention of fees posted.

I am not as in the know as most of the people on this board obviously, but hell I am in to play at that price.

It was there (Ontario IPSC Web site) yesterday. Today is changed back to zero in stage and round count section.
Fee was never posted, so those who coming with numbers, all they do is speculating.

I was asking for clarification in reference to post #10 on this thread, I made sure to mention rumour of cost.

Rumor is just a rumor. When I have posted round count and stage count, I have simply copy and pasted from IPSC Ontario calendar, where this information was available.
Now round count and stage count is erased, guess it will be updated on a later date
There was no fee info available yet, only when it starts and ends. Also registration by mail and starts on April 1st. I assume more info will be available in near future.

Hey, if you want to provide a bigger club with more bays to run the match, and the people at that club willing to run it, that would be a great help, but that isn't going to happen. It is not about convincing anyone of anything. The organizers at the host club will surely put on the best match they are able to with what they have to work with. For all practical purposes, there is no changing anything at this point, although I appreciate that your heart is in the right place.

correction

...one way to please almost everyone is to simply put 2 short stages into 1 shooting bay twice leaving room for more larger stages on 2 extra bays....thus you can up the stages from 12 to 14 and using the new 2015 "Stage Ratio Chart" instead of having to have 6 short, 4 medium and 2 long COF, you now have the option with 14 stages of having the same number of 6 short, but now 6 medium, and 2 long COF :)

The ratio should be 3 long, 2 medium, 1 short. 6 stages would be (3x32) + (2x25) + 8 = 154rds. 12 stages would be 300+ rds. The last USPSA Area 2 match was 14 stages & 332rds + chrono.

The ratio should be

Long:Medium:Short as follows; As many as the design committee wants: As many as the design committee wants: As many as the design committee wants

This what? For sure this won't be a sanctionee L3 IPSC match as per the current rules. If John want his rules he should run for a President or something...

I see absolutely no point in talking about that in the thread dedicated to the Canadian Nationals match and for the hell of it in any other topic on any forum.

Peter it was know rumour. If you read through theON forum you will see that if MA got involved that was a price he quoted to put it on. As of now another club has stepped up and They will determine the cost.
