Oh, that totally explains why they went with the 1960s bolt release and charging handle.

Magpul BUIS? but no PMAG? WTF? and why the RAL finish? WFT is wrong with our Army?
A 1X6 LPVO AND a RDS AND BUIS? how may sight systems do you need? There doesn't look to be much "real estate" for a light or PEQ?
If that is the SAI 1X6 it has 120 MOA adjustment? on that rifle? What for?

Well, DIA seems to be taking their sweet time for the announcement, but the contract award should be before the end of this month. They are coming!

While the people in question are certainly greasy enough to do such a thing we are fortunate that most of them are too technically inept to pull it off.

No, in this instance it is simply political and whatever hasn't been banned simply means they haven't gotten around to it yet (proved beyond doubt at this point with all the subsequent bans).

Better to do it in little bites as you don't want to rile up too many plebs at once and this approach means you can use these announcements to cover up another scandal or worry the sheep into getting out and voting for you.
