Canadian S&W model 500? 4.2 inch barrel

My 460V is a great revolver, could shoot it all day long with various calibers, the comp really helps taming the beast when shooting hot .460's. Granted it would be "fun" to shoot a cylinder full of hot .500 mag in a 4" barrel gun but I wouldn't shoot it all day!

By the way, the registered barrel length for my 460V is 106mm without the compensator so it's the shortest we can get and plenty 'o fun to boot!

We have a 6.5" barrel S&W500, and that's plenty short for a 50 cal.

Limited run? Limited to the 4 that people would actually buy.

You would be surprised. The 4 inch models are all over youtube. Even more then the 6.5 or 8 and 3/8. It would be huge fun factor.

I did have a 460 with the 5 inch bbl. Thats was pretty stout lol. May have to get another.

Both the 460 and 500 were available as 2.5" models in those orange and yellow "Emergency Kits" that S&W had a few years ago. If a 2.5" barrel is possible, then I don't see why 4.2" would be so far-fetched. Heck, even the 500 comes in a 3.5" model now. Personally, I'd like to see the 460 XVR, Performance Center edition (with non-fluted cylinder) come with a 4.2" barrel, instead of the 3.5" barrel.

Yup would be nice too.

I would love a 4.2 500!! i want bigger fireballs then my 6.5" 500 can offer, also not a fan of the half under lug. If i could find a range that would allow it i would love to duel wield 500's :)
