Like Double Tap, or Buffalo Bore? Everyone wants this stuff and nobody seems to make the effort to get it in. Might be a good income source while waiting between mil-surp stuff to come in?

Those brands are likely not approved in Canada. Frankly they wouldn't be worth bothering with for maybe $10k sales per year. Can you see people buying 10,000 rounds of Buffallo bore ammo? They do with surplus.
BTW,I appreciate the tips and support.

Cheers,

Chris

"...We need 303brit in a bad way!..." Milsurp? It hasn't been used by any military force for eons. Good quality, inexpensive, milsurp .303 ball is gone.
"...waiting between mil-surp stuff to come in..." What milsurp is that? Like CanAm says, there's not enough market in Canada for Buffalo or any other U.S. custom ammo loaders to bother with. Never mind all the stupid permits etc required.
If you want a steady supply of good ammo, reloading is the way to do it.

I agree, we do need .303, new production and not that Igman stuff. Why isn't Norinco or someone making it? There's millions of Lee Enfields in the world slowly starving to death...

well its funny that in Jans shotgun news they have SURPLUS 303 brit various makes INCLUDING CANADIAN made stuff

they also list tons of 30.06 LC ammo 1970's production and 30 carbine 60's made

there is lots out thier its just our rules wont let much in

we need to lobby the consers to scrap the ammo import testing rules!!

I would like a place to buy different or specialty ammo, some stuff is hard to find
or is Taboo in Canada (ie. Hollowpoint pistol ammo). An online shop that specialised in ALL kinds of ammo would fare well, I am sure of it.

"...Hollowpoint pistol ammo..." It's not 'taboo'. However, since we can't hunt with handguns or carry one for self-defence, there's not enough of a market for it.
"...500rnd lot for $335..." Geezuz, I remember selling 1000ish cases for that much or less. Thirty years ago though.

I just passed on a deal that, among other things, included 150K of BEAUTIFUL NC FNM 303. If any of you guys have rich uncles that want to make more money, have them give me a call. As it is I can only work as fast as my current funding allows.

Thanx for the interest.

Chris

Kind of an expensive way to saw down a tree:dancingbanana:

I'm near the end of it now, but 10 or so years ago, i bought a lot of corrosive .303 out of the US for US$100 per 1000, and some as cheap as US$70/thou.

found problems with loose primer pockets and blow-by, off center and irregualar flash holes, and dirty powder

Now prvi partizan made good brass.

Sounds like an opportunity - you can be an International Ammoman of Mystery - talk in codes over the phone, meet in smoky foreign bars ("she was the one in Tangiers"). Do the Lord of War thing, only without AK-47's :)
