Canpar......What the hell?

Im thinking rules are different in different provinces?
They wouldnt leave my package even with the signed card..
Although i did have ammo. I dunno.

OH FFS!!!!

I call them last night, Talk to a guy and ask If I can change the shipping address to my parents place so my mother can recieve the parcel......No prob get the address change.....

Nothing comes to my mothers house today....I get home now and second slip on the door saying you have to pick up parcel in Mississauga now.....

Call tonight and ask WTF....Different person tells me "Oh we can't just change shipping address", When the dip#### last night said it was no problem....

I didn't know signature required meant you have to be in person.....I left my signature on the delivery slip with instructions where to place it.....

I've have similar experiences with CanPar.

If I'm not home for delivery, the office here in town doesn't have a means by which I can pick up my parcel. Unless of course I happen to catch a driver at their shop/office because they have no staff other than drivers.

I had to sit in front of their office for about an hour and a half to pickup my M305.

Last time a I had a delivery from Can Par the girl explained that they will ship anything. She said their main deliveries consist of guns, ammo, and dildo's. All plain brown paper wrapped stuff. She said they need a signature for everything.

So my CZ 75B was supposed to arrive tomorrow, which would be perfect since I don't have to work until the evening. It comes early (yesterday), when I'm not home, no delivery notice card left, no indication on the tracking number that this would happen. I just happened to check the tracking number to see that delivery was attempted, but too late for me to call to get them to hold it since I wasn't home today either. So I email, praying that I'd get a reply before they attempt delivery again. No such luck, they attempt delivery anyways. Now I have to waste my gas (or pay $10) because they can't do their job properly.

Just picked up an order today, not impressed. Tuesday i check online, says attempted delivery, i wasnt home . Call customer service to make sure they hold it. Drive there, no parcel, tell the guy to hold it again. Following day i show up again, dumdum says its on the truck. Wtf. Come back 3rd day, parcel is there, box bent, cut and re-taped. At least contents look ok. Friggin morons.

Just had a delivery of ammo from them today when I was not home. Placed the instructions sheet I printed off from the email and told the driver to leave the parcel on the step and phone me and I would pop home from work and take it inside. Driver did exactly that so I have nothing bad to say about them at this point.

On the other hand a buddy of mine said that he had them leave $2K worth of ammo sitting on his front step for a couple of hours.............

Got my Outlaw from CanAm and box was beat to crap and barrel of gun was sticking out. 'thats how I got it ' was the excuse. I got rid of the gun locally instead of trying to deal with returning it. And yes I had to drive out to some guys house to get it....

I'm a courier and I see a ton of beat up packages all due to no coomon sense from marstar paper bag wrapping and just yesterday a BB gun wrapped in a garbage bag from cabelas. The system is jam packed and most people couldn't pack anything if they tried I can't even get the average person to put a to or from on a box or use packing tape lets be realistic if you get a box falling apart buy from another dealer that had there shot together, I just purchased a shot gun from gone fishing it arrived via canada post in a good solid box in one day no problems. My truck and most others are stuffed due to the worlds amazon addiction and all the oversize home dumpo packages if you want your deliveries wrap them well imagine your latest purchase under 400 other packages and last be nice to the driver it's better to be on the nice list than naughty it's a small world Merry Christmas.

I don't phone people for deliveries unless they can be trusted I'm not interested in gun nuts having my number and if your package arrives re taped your lucky there's no tape left in my truck because of all the parcels falling apart if I can leave something at your door safely I will it's safer there than stuffed in a truck again. The managers at most centres don't want you brining stuff back and if the package requires a signature they've paid for that option and we need the signature. Most delivery notices have tracking you can redirect your package to somewhere else like your work then you can show your boss the new UTAS you've just purchased.

Because my building has multiple employers and no shipping/receiving area. Why can't they leave it with a signature on delivery notice or why can't they have reasonable pick up hours. In Regina they essentially have no pick up hour's they have pick up minutes. They are the worst.

Goodness......they did exactly this for me. I signed the card, and wrote to leave it in between my screen door.....and......thats exactly what they did! Why is this so hard to do?

I'm home 99.9% of the time. But inevitably I miss the delivery. I know my CanPar driver very well and he'll give me a wave and a honk if he see's me driving past and he has a package for me. It must look strange to see a roadside package delivery.

Well hate to say it but they dropped off the shipment from AS no prob. Was quick and painless and left it as instructed. Thought I had but signed waiver page from their sight on door they didn't take it and indicated on tracking info that it was "delivered unsigned". I'm guessing that's for liability. So that was in Ottawa.

I have to add my experience to this list.

My Canpar driver called me today when I wasn't home and WAITED for me to get my package to me. Superb service!

Thanks Canada Ammo and thanks Canpar.

PS, my wife enjoys the disco. Haha.
