Can't believe it: I bought a Glock !!

OK.
I'm a blued steel and wood kind of guy when it comes to firearms. I used to think that Glocks were ugly plastic guns. But with the months and the years of involvement in the gun community, I developed kind of a curiosity for them. I even shot one before buying.
Now I think they are not ugly plastic but kind of ###y polymer guns. And I just bought a G17 Gen 4
I needed to share. Thanks for reading me.

I too was and still am a "Steel" gun guy. Could be cause I'm from before the "Tupper" days. That being said, I bought a G26 years ago and never looked down on Glock's again.
Added a 30 since then. Even with a NY trigger the 26 is a tack driver and has never ever had a hiccup of any kind. That's more than I can say for some of the 1911's that have come through my hands. Still for me a Glock will always be a shooting tool rather than something I can look at with the admiration of a crafted "Metal" gun.

Glock 19 is perhaps the most size efficient compact 9 mm pistol. Low bore axis.
The new Gen 4 allows one to adjust grip fit to handsize.

I personally don't like the grip angle vs. guns like HK or Walther, but Glocks work.

I love my Glocks! As someone else said, they are shooters. I don't worry about scratching them, dropping them ( I don't!), being rough with them. If SHTF happened and I needed to pick up a gun, it won't be a 6" Python!! It will be a Glock, preferably a 17 or 19.

Having said all that, would I buy another? No! They all look the same and work the same. If I were to buy another gun, I would prefer something different!

First centerfire hand gun I ever shot was a .40 G22. I stayed away from Glocks for yearssss after but didn't become a fan till Gen4's came out! Love mine :)

Now get an Advantage Arms .22LR conversion kit for it, some spare magazines and a bunch of CCI Mini Mags (if you can find them) and you will be set up for cheap practice especially for things such as point shooting that burns up ammo. Drills that require realistic recoil control like failure to stop drills, no.
