Laserlips, thanks for the heads up on mags!

I would love to get a P7M8 but the average price of about $2000.00 has kept me from picking one up. For that kind of money I would much rather have something like a Sig X5.
"Laser" I agree with all your comments. The only reason I thought about picking up a M8 was because I liked the P7 so much and we can not apparently get the grade "A's" in Canada. The idea that they will become even more rare in the future and the idea of having a brand new one in pristine condition were also factors. We don't have the luxury of lots of places to have pistols refinished up here and the P7 is a pistol I want to hold onto.
I primarily shoot Sigs so that's a platform that I am more familliar with and the reason I would rather get an X5 tactical over a new M8. The Sigs I can fix but the P7 is a little more daunting should anything go wrong.
misfire I'm just curious as to what ammo you are putting through your P7. BTW said:mis:
Thanks,
The great majority of my plinking is with the cheap(er) Winchester White Box 100rd 115 grain value pack available all over, but I generally buy it from WalMart for less than $20.00 (US).
The target shown was shot with this ammo.
For personal defense I prefer "DoubleTap" 115 grain JHP's... Good stuff..
Best Wishes,
Jesse
I wonder if Walt will be able to get any more P7's in?
Sounds like a good acquisition for a HK nut!!
I just spoke for one from Walt.

The rest of the last shipment didn't arrive, they're coming in on the current license in the next two weeks. Two of them are coming home with me this time! I'm still P7-less.
We'll try to get more, but the current source has all but dried up. I wonder how many CDNN las left?
I just spoke for one from Walt.

Most embarassing moment was first time at the range with it. I took the pistol out of the case, went to rack the slide back and wound up removing the slide....![]()
The feeling I got was they are all sold already.
It isn't the buying or registering of the pistol which is the problem, it is the crossing of an international border which is the PIA. I brought one collectible pistol in from the USA a few years ago and it is not only a lengthy process but it is quite expensive. I think it added about $300 - $400 to the cost of the pistol IIRC.It is my understanding that the HK P7 is legal to own in Canada by private individuals, so thought some folks might have an interest in acquiring one..
I don't have a clue as to why acquiring a legal firearm in Canada would be a "PIA".. It would seem that either a firearm is legal, and can be purchased through normal channels w/normal paperwork involved,
I have 4 mags for my gun but wouldn't mind another 2. Again, getting things out of the USA legally can be an issue for us.As to the availability of the CDNN "demo" P7 mags, that changes by the hour. I made three separate orders for a P7 last month, and the first 2 times I ordered a 2nd magazine @ $39.00. When I ordered my third P7 I also added 4 more, but Neal said they were sold out.. He then said "let me see if another shipment might have come in", and when he checked more magazines were available and I bought 4. I have a total of 9 magazines for my three P7's so I think 3 for each pistol is adequate.
It would be a LOT easier if a distributor brought in a shipment. Bringing guns in one at a time from the US is a serious PIA.I'm just glad I have my three P7's, glad you have yours, and hope all the folks there in Canada who might have an interest have the opportunity to get one , or more, too..
jesse/laserlips, thanks for the response!! I'll have to buy a couple boxes to try out but it'll cost more than $20 here....
Not all who own P7M8's are collector'.
Sup:
I wonder if a Canadian Distributor could get a shipment into Canada (legally of course) if he had a large enough order?
Or, if say, 25 or some like number of persons wanting an HKP7 placed an order , with non-refundable deposit with a large Canadian distributor could they import them do you think?
Especially for those folks desiring an "A" grade P7 this might be the only way they could have access to one.
That way the distributor, who is familiar with the "in's and out's" of importing from American could handle the paperwork and "PIA" factor and all the buyer had to do was show up when the pistols arrive and process whatever the paperwork would be on a pistol that wasn't imported.
Just a thought.
Best Wishes,
Jesse

What kind of holster is this? Where did you find it? I have a Milt Sparks IWB on order.
We were expecting a small shipment , told it was our last, however, when the box got here, we only received 5, thought that might be it, but confirmed Friday evening that the remainder of our order were just delayed. The few we did get sold Thursday night.![]()
