All signed up and chomping at the bit. Really looking forward to putting some holes in paper and learning a few new tricks besides sit pretty, roll over and of course beg. Hmmmmm... Now for accommodation, long weekend and short notice.
 
Spent the day at the range sighting in a new flip up buis and a red dot sight. Also fired off 4 mags of 9mm and was pleased to see all 40 on paper. Will pack range bag etc... over next few days, and look for some Mechanix gloves. I already have some of those palm padded bicycle gloves with no fingers, those might work well, will bring them to try out also.

Never got around to booking a room, so will be driving back to Ottawa Saturday night, but definitely staying for the Danny's Steak this time. Sleep is overrated, anyway its a long weekend lol

BTW, if anyone has a single or double molle pistol mag pouch for sale (Sig 226 / double stack), let me know, I am interested.
Also would be interested if anyone has a plastic (kydex safariland etc...) holster for the 226 that has molly attachment.
 
Speaking of Full ......I just called Dannys restaurant and told them 25 -30 hungry shooters will be there for 19:00 .
So Barney feel free to use your Shoot Faster ... Learn Quicker stick again if the Prime Rib is in danger !! :runaway:

We will meet up at bldg. P-141 parking lot across from the firehall 0815 Sat and then get a 2 day vehicle pass at the range control bldg.
You will need to supply the license plate number of your vehicle to range control and the names of the occupants.
Keep that pass and don't forget to give it to me or turn it in at range control on Sunday .
The last time I was at Echo range the porti - potties were gone for some reason and the nearest ones were about 300 meters from our sentry point . ...so you may want to bring some TP or a knife to cut the sleeves off your t shirts ..lol

PS...Is anyone coming to the clinic that lives lives near or going through Newmarket ??
There is an ammo deal from a member on the E.E that I am interested in and if someone picks it up I would pay you for the hassle ....Thanks

I am in north maple / aurora area. If there is noone closer, I am happy to do a pick up for you. Let me know where, when and what you want picked up and I can swing by there Thursday night.
 
On a somewhat related note, if anyone is staying at http://www.petawawariverinnandsuites.ca/
and is interested in meeting up Friday night , I am offering to buy 1 round. (of beer or .223 - your choice). Myself and buddy of mine are comming up and we are compelte newbies. Would love to pick someones brain who has played this game before.

RPAL (shows me you know how to PROVE, load, fire pistol/restricted)
Then I can build on all those skills.
Mil Experience is always good and never wasted.
Having all the vest or chest rig or webbing sure helps a lot

There... does that enlighten things?

Hi All
I am camping on base at Black Bear this weekend. My wife is with me and I was wondering if it would be possible to catch a ride with someone to the range and back. She gets the car and I get to shoot. Happy wife happy life.

Firehoser if you could make it to the bldg. p-141 I am sure there will be room for you with someone .

Due to construction a portion of middle road is closed and we will be using a different route to get out to Echo range.
The map shows the route we will take Saturday (Green).
After getting vehicle passes at range control on Centurian road out to Echo range on Deluthier road .
We all meet at bldg P-141 parking lot near the firehall on Saturday and Sunday morning and we we wont have to stop at range control on Sunday .
If you get on base early enough the messhall ( bldg. G-104) serves good food cheap .
