But I still haven't gotten my barrel yet. The store owner said if his shipment is not here by the time I need it he will pull a factory heavy barrel from a 10/22 and sell it to me for the same price as the aftermarket one (that works in my favor) to keep me happy.... I'm actually really surprised he would do that! But I have been phoning or stopping in once a week for two and a half months.:D

Just bought five more bricks of .22. ( Winchester black box "target"). so should be good to go for that one...

Oh and did I mention only.

Do you really plan on rain? Did it rain last year?

I have to get out and shoot my .22 mag, and decide if I am going to load any .22-250 for the trip. Time is getting really short if I am going to load...
I suppose I could go buy some of the Wal-Mart special varmint packs... Or just enjoy the rim fires, and the time away...

Heading out to do some test firing and practice today...
 
I am trying to find time to shoot my new .223 & make up some loads for it, since I can't seem to find anything reasonable in price locally. & the winny bulk packs shoot like crap in my gun...
 
ouch!.. cdn tire has some 55g 223 for 19... that is for 20rnds...

if i wasn't trying to build a deck, bear hunt, drywall.. take care of kiddo, it wouldn't be difficult.. lol
 
Anybody on this list needs to confirm with me over the next couple of days. These are the folks who get first crack. Anyone who is on this list who does not confirm attendance may get bumped for others who are interested. You can confirm either in this thread or by PM. Please, if you cannot come, there are others who might like to attend. Anybody else who may be interested speak up now. Very few have confirmed attendance, so please take the time to do so. Oh I am already set-up for reloading, it is just packed at the moment.

I just need to get some brass, bullets, powder, and primers, oh & set-of dies for the .223.

Then I have to actually find the time to load, shoot, adjust load, load some more, shoot some more.

All that between bear hunting (3 nights a week) archery (once a week) build a deck (as soon as I can get it done) Drywall the basement, keep wife & 7 month old happy, plus go to work.. lol.. the HMR will prob get used more than the .223 the way it is going...

I will be there, and I know Drew_CarreyAB will be there. I don't need a map since I have been going out there for 40yrs.. lol
 
I'm in with bells on. Or is that I'll be there like Flynn? Or should I leave the bells on Flynn? What are the bells for again?

A map would be good. Hopefully not a bunch of "turn left at the old barn that isn't there anymore" type directions on a 1936 RM map though. Those are known to cause excessive drinking and swearing. Not that there's anything wrong with excessive drinking and swearing, I just hate to mix them with driving. Unless I'm in Saskatoon of course, then they're required.
