Yikes! Gettin' close!!

What is the fire situation going to be like? Is there going to be enough room for everyone to cook on the fire, or should I be looking at getting some kind of propane stove? And, any suggestions on where to pick up firewood?

Well, depending how many people show up we may need another fire ring :D

I am bringing my propane stove, so I suggest everyone else does the same. Primitive camping folks :) The only ammenities there are outhouses :D

I'm bringing along a Coleman camp stove (remember the old white gas ones you had to pump up?) and a folding camp kitchen so it doesn't have to sit on the grass/rocks....more than happy to share it if anyone needs a cooker. (Apparently my son's only desire {along with squeak shooting} while camping out is a pancake breakfast.....go figure) :)

Leaving Calgary around 7:30 AM Friday, after I drop my wife off at work. Hoping to be there early afternoon...traffic permitting.

Well, I've got the Intrepid restricted to keep it sub-sonic, so I may be a tad later. I'll prob make a pit stop in the Hat for a stretch of the legs and a bite......or at least a run through Timmy's drive through!

Leaving....

I am leaving Thursday afternoon and driving through Edmonton to pick up the father in law. I am pulling my holiday trailer. I was thinking of bringing the quad maybe. I will pick some fire wood up in town too as requested.

I have about 2000 rounds still of 223 and 3500 of 17 Mach II for my kid. Should be a good time and weather looks good.

I had my 8 year old kid out at the range tonight and he definately knows what he is doing!!!! Look out gophers. This will be his first time as well as the father in laws.

Greg

The time for some folks is about here. There are some individuals who are traveling great distances to attend. We wish you all a safe trip, and want to see you get here in one piece. A few will be starting out very soon, take your time and enjoy the drive. Life is too short not to.

Still planning on the thursday as the day to leave, with fishing on Friday (for the wife) and shooting sat & sun..

Finally got a load that will work for this weekend in the 223... so tonight is loading night.. got 200 brass to load up..

For those of us who aren't camping, what would be a good time to show up on Saturday and Sunday morning?

Made the first leg to Red Deer, arrived last night, roads were dry and dusty, 27C in Kamloops, damn near froze last night, and there's a frost warning tonight. Truck is loaded with limes, pointed South East and idling in the driveway. :D
