I found a 5/8" long 1/2-28 thread protector to replace the plastic one on my Little Badger on amazon.ca.

At $15.00 CAD it's not cheap but the length is perfect.

It's cool you guys aren't worried about the slam fire issue with these guns.....I put mine away after it happened to me.

I ethically can't sell this to someone else.

My firing pin sticks out after the last shot and when you close the action on a new round it fires. It doesn't happen every time but once is enough.

It's been discussed on the internet outside of CNN too. There is a thread here aswell

Very cool Deuce.
Thanks.

Looks good Deuce. I like it!
Thank you.

I'm not concerned. Muzzle control is paramount with all firearms.

What happens exactly? The hammer doesn't lock in the half-#### position when you break it open? Or is it that the firing pin doesn't retract in the half-#### position?

I've been a bit weary of it just being a break action rimfire. I'm worried about the cartridge rim getting pinched in the action. Hasn't happened yet, but maybe when the chamber or face gets dirty. As always....muzzle direction is number one.

Don't feel bad about selling it to me.

I would gladly have another one.

So couple questions:

1. Have you taken it apart and identified the issue?
2. Have you taken steps to rectify the issue?
3. how clean is your gun?

Ok. Another resurrection bump. Would someone please tell me the thread size/pitch for the screw in area for the handle? Would like to make one myself, and I have an idea..... Thank you.

I just ordered a Little Badger for a pack gun as my Henry Survival Rifle is too bulky. I plan on doing some mods to it such as sight replacement, trigger job, accessories pouch, sling studs, thread protector for starters. After a bit of searching on-line I came across the below mod project... and all l have to say is WOW. Thought I would share.... enjoy.

I went to the article above, but only a couple pics in the thread were working.
The Badger does look like a great little project gun. Well done guys!

I changed things a bit today:

Added a bushnell red dot and removed rear and front sight. I also have an aluminum rail coming in the mail which I plan to mod and swap with the existing plastic one.

Very nice, and simple. Looks good!

This was gifted to me last year and has accompanied me on several outdoor adventures. It has 40 ft of paracord. The CRKT minimalist Bowie, fishing kit and tinder tucked inside a sealed length of straw. A firesteel toggle and wears a Bushnel First Strike dot site. Great pack gun. Have not experienced any slam fires as reported by others thankfully.image.jpgimage.jpg
