I carry little shot shells for my .444 marlin , 12 grains of unique, then a cereal box wad, then #4 shot , then a reversed gas check , roll crimp over the gas check enough to hold it in place . My best day was 2 roughies and a button buck
My non-poultry reduced loads are 100 grain .312 pistol bullets shot out of a Enfield rifle.

Not having a .32 pistol, I didnt know that the so-called .32 bullet is actually .312 dia.
Thats good to know!
Reminds me of the chicken cannon from the "Air Farce" loldam, thought you where making bullets from chicken meat...
Only problem with this is the transition period between small game and large game season, you can't have a centre fire rifle.
Sorry, I should have realised you eastern guys wouldn't know that we refer to ruffies as "chickens" in AB and probably most of the western provinces.
?? We do? "Chickens" around here are Prairie Chickens or just chickens, Ruffed Grouse are called bush partridge.
Saskatchewan doesn't count.![]()
That's right. We are too high above the rest of you to compare. Lol
