Interesting picture. His SKS is a Yugoslavian one and the flag on his left sleeve is the one of Republika Srpska. An old warrior from the Balkan wars in the 1990's.

Yes, it's a country in Europe. Proclaimed independence in 1992 after the disintegration of Yugoslavia (Bosnian/Yugoslavian wars). Now it's a part of Bosnia&Herzegovina being a separate entity within (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Republika_Srpska).

my rivet is located an inch forward of the serial numbers. i cant believe they would screw up a near perfect SKS.

So are all of these SKS whether French tickler or full wood factory 26 or has anyone received a different factory? I see the stock image for the jungle stock versions has a factory 606 stamp. I know the French tickler version is a factory 26 thing only but I’m curious if any of the all wood are different.

^factory 26 makes a nice sks. I have a full wood made in 69 I think. Not a French tickler back when it was a lottery to see what shipped. The first batch that came in they didn't sort them

He has tons of videos discussing SKS production in China.

I have read articles claiming while there is no real database, there are dozens of different factory markings on type 56 SKS. In the late 60's they moved SKS production away from factory 26 to have that factory concentrate on the Type 63/68.

thats incorrect. its the reverse, most countries have threaded. china has threaded and pinned.

you would still be wrong bcos the yugo actual muzzle are not threaded. yugo m59/66 and m59/66A1 has an adapter with a thread so why would he "never understood"?
