It's been said every where that these specific style rifles would be going up in price because the market has dried up. I've dealt with Marstar a ton and they have been fantastic and will continue to do business with them.

the ones last year were the military ones. ( I bought one)
 
my $75 dollar sks is now a 299 dollar one....its chrome lined, unissued, never fired! every number matching

These rifles were never priced at $75. The deal was to buy a crate of expensive ammo and get the sks for $75. Big difference. A store in Winnipeg used to sell u a sks for $1 if u would buy some crates of ammo.
 
Not too sure if that comment for me, but my name is definitely not John...anyhow, just saying it is a good product. I find the chrome lined is better for when it comes to cleaning after corrosive ammo. But so true on the "as if there is gonna be that much difference, its a sks......... "

I thought every SKS bult after 1950 had a chrome lined barrel?
 
not too sure on all those specs, but it is what it is bro....there fun guns, nice to shoot, and not too expensive...all that other stuff is pretty much irrelevant....i dont go that deep into it...again, its an sks
 
Can anybody whining about this offering find an identical offering at a better price? I seriously doubt it. Anybody wanting less quality...an used or refurbed gun can find one and pay less. If I wanted a brand new, unused, all matching numbers military SKS, this would look like a decent deal to me.

I too remember when excellent condition Lee-Enfields and Mausers and Garands and SAFNs were common and cheap. Banged-up, used SKSs will always be common...new ones, not so much.

You certainly appear to understand what happens in the surplus world, 30+ years ago I can recall paying $35. for Mausers new in the crate, We shipped Enfields to the US @ $25. We retailed .303 Brit ammo for $99./1000 ....ETC, ETC....
BTW if you know of a GM dealer who might have a 1958 Corvette in stock I would be interested, at the 1958 sticker price of course.

That's NOT a fair comparison. This is more like GM announcing there's going to be a shortage of 2015 Duramax's so a dealer hides a few trucks from their lot until later when the demand is greater and people are willing to pay a premium.

The fact that these rifles just happen to appear in time for the Christmas panic buying rush and at an inflated price is what stinks.

Either your stock tracking system is so bad that you can misplace 10+ rifles for several months unnoticed or you lied to us about being out of stock. Considering the nature of your business, I wouldn't admit to the first one and the second shows what you really think of us as customers. I've bought from you in the past. I've defended the Marstar flag. Never again.

I can't mention another site dealer in this forum, but if you looked close enough, there was another sponsor selling the same rifles, same condition, for less this past week. They are all, or just about, gone now.

But I believe that most MS rifles over $200 come shipped in a hard case (about $15 cost). So, on par with the other vendor.
 
$15 I wouldnt spend regardless. I got cases out the wazoo that I have no use or room for. Box it up! At least that I can cut and fold and put in my blue bin.
