While I am on a coffee induced rant, here is a question! What do you all think would happen to the price of an SKS, IF, they were re classified as restricted? It's an honest question as the real possibility is looming in front of us! I can't see it helping the price go up, but what are your thoughts?
Pretty sure the bottom would drop right out of that market! These are great, cheap, fun plinking rifles that you can take anywhere and actually use to hunt! If relegated to the range, I'm thinking most of the fun would be gone! The accessory market for them would also dry right up as people wouldn't want to spend all kinds of extra money spiffing them up to look cool etc. if they couldn't use them like they use to be able to.
New ones just wouldn't sell anymore as the used market would be flooded.
I for one wouldn't buy another. I have 5 or 6 from different countries and years. Cool from a collectable standpoint, but if they went restricted, they wouldn't see the light of day very much after that, if at all...
Just my 2 cents, but I have a good feeling that this would happen!
