As posted earlier, they go for around 10k. Only a handful ever made it into Canada. This thread seems to be about the possibility of them becoming more common.

There was never a US made version of USC and SL8, they were made in Germany in all configurations. SL8 has now been removed form the Global HK site as well.

very doubtfull the quality will be the same, It isn't with glock, sig/sauer, Zeiss, etc just to name a few of the current onesWhat will be interesting to see is if the quality of the US manufacturing plant will be on par with their German built arms.
I'm in for a sub $2,500 H&K.

G36's are awesome rifles. I've owned and sold four of them in the last several years: a G36C, two G36Ks, and a G36P. I've also owned a UMP. Here's what I paid for those who want some real data as to what they pull on the Canadian market:
G36C: $8000, AC date code
G36P: $8500 (unfired and with the dual optic and bipod), AC date code
G36K: $6300, AE date code
G36K: $8500, AE date code
UMP9: $8200 (unfired), AF date code
I tried selling in the $10K range on a number of occasions and never got an takers but lots of tire kickers (many of you may remember my WTS posts), and in the end I got about what I paid, plus or minus a few hundred. I haven't seen one with anything newer than an AF date code and most are AC (2002) or AE (2004). They've changed hands a number of times in most cases, and I think there are very few left with low round counts. I love them, but they aren't worth that kind of money, at least not to me. Once you get it in your hand, shoot it a bit, and then reflect on the $8000+ you put into it...... well, you get the picture.

I started the thread over at HKPro this time. No one knows for sure if this is going to happen. Rumor is we will know Shot Sow 2014. We will have to wait and see. If it doesn't happen I need to figure out how I can get a SL8-4 imported from Canada. I really would like to have one that the magwell does not have to be modified. Rear stub fuse not to concerned about.
