Colt Canada rifles to the public?

why are some people getting their balls in a knot? if you want to buy it, buy it. if you dont, dont.

better or worse than DD or KAC, it is what it is. nobody is forcing anyone to buy rifle A B or C.

step back from the keyboard and breath. MORE ar's in people's hand is a good thing, regardless who makes them.

You guys are putting too much credit in what "milspec" is. I rather have a gun that is not milspec, using better materials, coatings and designs.

I get what you're saying, but... as I said in previous posts. This "AR" is something different. It's not a commercial AR-15 for the commercial market. It's a military rifle for the commercial market. Think brand new modern surplus. Our friends in the states would sell their left nut for something like this. It is a C7/C8.

So you state a Chinese made AR shoots as good as the Colt Canada C7, then when I call you out on it you say the above. WTF...
I would definitely prefer to be paying for an AR rifle that has under gone strict adherence to exacting tolerances and build specifics over just any old company assembling an AR willy nilly. Colt Canada is offering true Mil-Spec, what I don't agree with is how much they are charging for their Civvy models.
If you think there are many AR's out their with real Mil-Spec tolerances that civilians can buy you're kidding yourself, cause unless it's been built under military contract it isn't true Mil-Spec.

What about the le6920? Available from IRunguns at 1400?

And while it's lovely to wave the mil spec flag around I can tell you right now I have zero loss of faith in a non milspec MR556/MR223s ability to perform on par with the milspec rifles.

This c7/c8 duo is wonderful that colt canada is offering it, but it is obscenely overpriced. If you can justify the cost, fill your boots, but there is others of equal capability at a lower cost. And no norc fanboys I'm not talking about your rifles, so please sit down.

Amen, brother. Well said.

They are Not selling 5000 Rifles. LOL Lucky to sell 50.

I hope they get bought up down south...and IRG can bring them back for $12oo

What has to happen is NOBODY buy them! Let them Sit on them. Eventually they will be sold off.

If that happens, they won't be offered again. Amazing to read all this.....wow.

I would really love to have one or two in the safe...but at that price i may have to wait a while. How can it be better than my Stag and DD for so much more $$ ?

Maybe so, but I always thought how could a noveske be sooo much better than my Bushmaster for the price? KAC, HK, DD? If they sell, good for them.

Pricing is why I never got a SAN rifle, but they sold every one they made just the same.

Colt Canada and Korth = EPIC FAIL!!

Money is not the issue, I could buy one right now. This is a question of VALUE, and this is NOT value.

I'm not an ignorant consumer (sorry CC and Korth), they can suck it, won't see a penny of mine for one of these.

I Run Guns for the win!

There is so much love for follow black rifle owners on this forum and in this thread in particular.

Oh sorry, I'm a Norc owner so I guess I had better just shut my mouth and move to the back of the bus where I belong.

Bolivar speaks the truth. Life's too short. Get out there and shoot what ya got, be it Norc, DD, KAC, or CC Diemaco.

Hey, wait a second, aren't you selling your Norc? :nest:

I'm amazed at how many folks here have more knowledge on the subject of AR manufacturing quality than Larry Vickers - who knew? If you don't want one, feel free not to buy one. If you think they're too expensive, that's cool too. It might be interesting to remember though, that a lot less than 10 years ago, people here were fighting to pay $3K+ for a Colt (USA) 6920. Less b*thing, more shooting.

I see it like this.

There is a bunch of avid shooters that love their Hamburger. Hamburger is the best. It's what the Military eats. Hamburger, Hamburger, Hamburger. There's even some special burgesr that come with pickles and a few rare ones with cheese.

There is another bunch of avid shooters that eat Steak, many different types of Steak. The Steak is So much Better than Hamburger and Costs Less. They don't understand why people would want Hamburger.

And for some reason the Hamburger guys refuse to acknowledge that Steak is Bette

The swiss was NR. Don't forget that. The restricted variants sat in shelfs for a very long time. The NR variants sold out fast. And it had no direct rivals in the non res mil issue rifle till the tavor showed up. And at least imo the swiss was a higher quality firearm.

What world are you living in? Either the steak is really cheap where you are at or burgers are hella expensive.

Heck I'd love to get some of these too.

Colt Canada makes great guns (although they seem incapable of measuring a barrel correctly...)
I'm not sure how they come up with 15.7 unless you measure where the flash hider begins and ignore the barrel portion that is threaded under that...

At the price your also getting a name and a Made in Canada support network.

If they come available down South I'll get a few.

The nice thing about the bare bones versions is YOU, THE OWNER, can add what you want.

Just wondering re: pricing? Has the MSRP been set in stone by the distributor, or will retailers have the option of setting their own pricing? Basically, will it pay to shop around or it doesn't matter if you buy from X, Y, or Z...you're going to be paying $2,300 regardless?

Still, restricted or no, thats a $4000 gun to your door....and they sold them all, but this people are complaining about? Fine, then don't buy it, but I bet they sell a bunch!

Being restricted makes no difference to me, I shoot at a range anyway, but I digress.

I'm sure you are incorrect.
Both the CQB and the Carbine (best of the bunch) had excellent sales.
Like this thread, the Sigs had it's fair share of threads where people would b!tch and lament over the cost (me included initially).
