It's pretty close. I bet if you put a flash hider on it no one would notice.11.7 inches is an odd measurement... must be a metric thing.
BC has a silly hunting regulation that considers all barrels shorter then 12" as pistol barrels and not allowed for hunting.
Yup metric, just checked the synopsis, 305mm or 12" is the cutoff in B.C. Anything shorter is considered a handgun.
The Turks must have just decided 30cm was a nice round number.
I'm not to worried, plenty of other guns to hunt with! It's pretty close. I bet if you put a flash hider on it no one would notice.

Isn't there a minimum OAL of 26" even on rimfire? I'm currently building a shorty 10/22. Dlask has an 8", 9", and 12.5" option. With my stock I need a minimum of 10.5" BL to achieve the 26 OAL. I thought I had to get the 12.5" to stay nr. Any advice on this or links to regulations/ clarity would be great.Only with respect to hunting regulations, while actively hunting.
You can run a shorter barrel on a non restricted as long as its not being used for hunting. I have seen countless 8-10" barrel 22s tat are completely legal and non restricted for target shoots
Correct it's a provincial hunting regulation, Gun laws are federal.Only with respect to hunting regulations, while actively hunting.
