Wait... so some idiot went to M&M and complained that these rifles were retailing too cheap here? And then people are surprised they raised the price?

Apparently yes. Some guys say the price is attractive and low and they want to spend more.So m+m thought lets charge more then.

Probably the Polysesouvient anti-gun group from here in Quebec... They can't let us buy nice things and want to take awway those we already have...

Ya never understand those people....statement like "a NR under $2000 what's there to think about" gets on my nerve all the time...why say that when the price of the gun is already listed? Most legit company won't pull something like these...but for this company ...they went low...very low.

Bottom line is the RCMP don't just classify guns for the fun of it.
You need to buy one state side and send it to them along with whatever info they request..... I also think they forever keep the sample. This process isn't a secret !!!!!!

Did Wanstalls do that ????

It seems they are saying they did... along with another Canadian business....

We're 2x samples sent to the RCMP ???

Something somewhere is underhanded & bad business....

Time will tell, but I seem to have a nasty taste in my mouth...

These sinanigans are similar to the importation of the (FA) SAN PE90 fiasco by a Calgary dealer... either way there is smoke in the forest..... & I havent shopped at that Calgary store since.

Another company who did the leg work for this importation was planning to sell these for $1699.00, when they noticed they were being undercut by someone who got in after the work was done they lost their minds and contacted M+M. Now these will come out with a modified MSRP to appease these cry babys. 1699 or slightly higher will be the new msrp.

No

Another Canadian company did..... somehow Wanstalls 'seems' to have been working behind everyone's back looking to make a buck on someone else's initiative. If this is indeed the truth....

Actually NO if the RCMP kept the prototypes that were submitted for classification then the T81 that is circling around the country wouldn't be doing so. It's not the RCMP rifle to keep aftet words.
Just because a different company submitted a rifle to the rcmp for classification DOES NOT give them sole distribution of that said rifle.

Fvck I could have bought one and submitted it to the rcmp myself (does that mean I'm the only one allowed now to import and sell this rifle)?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

And please show me anywhere that said company was bringin it in for 1699$????

I never recall seeing ANY PRICE posted other then "should be under 2400$" if and when it gets here.

But I could agree with said company complaining. Doesn't add up otherwise

If it comes to that price, I'm out, on principle.

I believe they the sample gun is returned to the company or manufacturer that submitted it. The T81 sample gun is making rounds right now after being returned.

This M10X story may rival the T81 story but hopefully some truths come out a lot quicker for everyone as I am very interested in the M10X as well.

Talk to claybuster about that......I will leave that here for all to figure out. He has been very vocal on a few other sites about the price of this rifle. He all went screaming to can am about this also.

Let me put it this way,
if the price isnt honoured, I'll never buy anything from Wanstalls again.

If they honour the price, I'll buy all my ancillaries and #### from them.

If they dont honour it, and refund me in 2 months - they had better pay me out interest for the $250 loan.

The other dealer's price, respectfully, was out to lunch from the onset...regardless of how it arrived at that number.

ITB

Yeah now they're saying it's because of the exchange rate :) which was about the same for the past 2-3 years. And that M+M wanted to recoup loses on the US market (m+m was not to happy to see the other dealer reveal this)

So as it stands right now its not Wantsall that ####ed the ones that preordered its the other dealer and m+m however much they would like to say that's not the case

If these retail for $1000US or less in the US which is what they stated in the video, then we just get them from IRG and pay the currency exchange.
If the manufacturer and a Canadian retailer want to set some higher price MSRP just for Canada knock your socks off, and sit on the rifles for ever because nobody will buy them.

M+M is listing them for $1249 US. Even if you use straight across conversion (which you don't, as you have to include taxes/duty/shipping) it's over the $1449 CDN.
