The 1450 was a special preorder price that was going to go up as per wanstalls original post. Still pissed the preorder was cut shorter than originally stated but I don't blame wanstalls for that I think it was forced on them. Will be interesting to see what the price ends up being. I think anything higher than 1600 will be a no go out of principle.

Well I'll never be dealing with him then (unless he wants to pay me MORE then what I'm asking for)

Lowest i found it for in the US is $1099. And Wantsall did state it was a special intro price. Who knows what they got them for and decided to break even and offer them up. They are not stupid and would not just offer them up without knowing what it would cost them, they would be out of business by now. If they get a share of the market we will never find out, if m+m cuts them out then we might find out more :)

I'm just saying if you're looking to import through IRunGuns for the same $1449 price, it's not going to happen.
 
If it looks like s#!t and it smells like s#!t, guess what, there's a very high probability that it's s#!t. Sad thing is there are people out there that think they have to taste it to confirm that it is indeed s#!t.

If the price goes up after the smell blows away I won't be having a taste.

It doesn't matter who did what. Appearance is everything and based on what is happening the stench is very strong.

There is zero reason we should be paying anything related to recouping costs associated with the US market. If they think they can jack up the price for the Canadian market to cover their own ineptitude in other markets, I say we need to boycott this company. That's not how you treat customers.

And why not? Basically their entire site is listed below msrp. A quick Google search seems to suggest these were sold for $993 from buds gun shop at some point.

Also, it's interesting that a quick Google search shows no retailers with it in stock...?

Actually, good point. Most of the places I saw listed do not have stock. Didn't notice that. There's a number of places that list it, but show back order or not in stock. I do see one stock with AIM Surplus for $1199.

Buds at one point had it in for $993, but who knows when that was. You'd have to find it for around that price or a little less to get close to the $1449.

Don't Canadians pay way more for everything....it's a fact for us. We get hosed on vehicles! No one calls for boycotts on ford/Chevy etc. Lot of whiners crying over #### when we should be happy we have yet another NR rifle to choose from. if people don't like the rice the m10 will sell for don't buy it!!!! Pretty simple. Calling for boycotts and whining about it seems petty and childish considering all of us know how a free market is supposed to work.

M+M is the only one who has posted what happened, very telling that the retailers are silent on the issue. I would be very vocal if one of my distributors was indeed hurting my business as some here are suggesting has happened

I don't know if it's the price, so much as how this whole fiasco has unraveled that has people up in arms (rightfully IMO)

The partial info and whispers don't help either...
