Coolest prohibited oic 12.5 firearm

Personally I always wanted to shoot and own a AR70/90S. I don't know if any of them ever made it into Canada though. Maybe someone can enlighten me. This is the rifle I would choose if I could choose one 12.5.

I would choose her to^^^ :)

^^ I recall seeing the Beretta AR-70 semis being offered here in the late 80's or very early 90's. It was a pretty rare bird to be sure. I didn't buy one because it apparently used a magazine that was unique to the rifle itself. I understand that the newer version(s) use the AR mag

So basically, during the period of which you could still buy an AK, the definitions of non-restricted, restricted and prohibited still existed?
So a full auto AK = prohib
A semi-auto 16 inch barrel = restricted and registered
An 18.5+ inch barrel = non-restricted, not registered?
Who made such "canadian barrels" for the AK, and when did they start getting imported to Canada?

Norinco made a "Canadian Version" with a 18.5" barrel. They were around $350 at the time.

CFO can do what ever they want. It's up to their discretion. I ran in to a 21 year old guy that had 12.5 on his PAL. I thought he was full of crap till he showed it to me.

If it was recent, it must be an error on their part. Tell him not to say anything.

When I got the new PAL, they conveinantly left my 12(5) and 12(6) status off. I corrected it before "the point of no return"...

His story was his dad died and willed him all his 12.5 CA long guns. His dad was best friends with the CFO at the time. He didn't know what to do with the firearms because he didn't have 12.5 on his license. Called up the CFO asked what he should do with the firearms and the CFO just added 12.5 to his license. I thought he was full of sh!t, till he showed me the back of his RPAL. He has 12.5 on it.

if it the provincial civil servants talk to you local mla. Sometimes the Federal and provincial governments do not agree on how to apply the rules if you want to go down the legal road be prepared to spend lots of money. If you want you status back always control your temper likely not the best idea to publish your dealing with them over the internet.
