Corwin CZ75 mags

Tested the mags this weekend, not a huge round count 250 rounds through them. They are well built for the most part, although the half circle cutout at the back of the feedlips for the slide does look like it was done by hand vs being stamped. The old style metal baseplate is definitely not something I'd want for doing rapid mag changes, the edges are sharp. That said, there are those basepads in the post a few up that would certainly fix that issue. I'm going to keep running them as the first mag in the gun and seeing how they stand up to being dropped repeatedly on concrete and if the lips spread quicker than my other mags (I doubt they will).

Beretta, CZ, Sig, Tanfogilo and Baby Eagle should all use the same base pad on full length steel mags , I know they do fit on the Corwin mags I bought for Beretta, I believe Slavex has a Beretta and if he could try a factory Beretta Mag base on the Corwin CZ mags to make sure they fit we would know for sure.
My factory Beretta and Sig base plates fit on the Corwin mags.
I do have a couple Beretta brand rubber base plates like the one in the ebay ad that only fits partially on the Corwin mags. I think the steel on the Corwin are just a wee thicker than the Beretta and Sig and the rubber ones are tighter fitted.

So your confirming that the base plates off the Berrta and Sig do fit on the Corwin CZ mags, but your saying that the floor plates off eBay will not fit because the corwin mags have a slightly thicker base? Can these base pads be forced on from what you are seeing?
The rubber ones I have came with my Beretta mags I bought off an Italian retailer and look very similar to the ebay ones. Shouldn't take much effort to get them to fit my CZ mags. Probably just have to knock the edge down with a file for them to fit. They get to about 3/4 in before it binds up. The description on the ebay ad says they fit CZ mags.
Pretty much. Remove base, remove spring and follower, wipe off crud off follower/springs, pull a paper towel or use an old toothbrush or gun brush down the mag.
Ha, you're right. I just tried removing my Corwin mag followers and these don't seem to come out. I thought I'd removed 'em before but those were probably my MecGar mags.
I'd love to chime in on the baseplate thing, but I don't have any of the Beretta type baseplates to try. I'd trust the guys above on that, they seem to know what they are talking about.

Hey guys, just throwing in my two cents on the mags. Just received a bunch of them from Corwin Arms.
The mentioned mag pads from ebay / IWI fit just fine in the CZ and Sig 226 magazines. There is a little wiggle room - but this is normal with these base pads. They wiggle with the Mecgar mags and the Tanfoglio ones too.
They work fine in the Shadow 2 and Shadowline that I own, they drop free, lock back and all of that. Really nice mags.
The mags come with a layer of oil on them, and that's not a gripe - but a good thing for transport, etc. Unfortunately I have a bunch of mags to wipe down, but yeah, I hope they bring more in.. it's a wicked price for these mags.

Okay with just over 2000 rounds through these mags with a few hiccups I will say they are, overalls good functioning mags. Would I use them for my own guns though now? No, I wouldn't. Why? Because I'm a snob that's why. I really really like the new MecGar mags, most especially the new anti follow lip that's been added to the top/front of the mag to stop rounds from feeding forward when the slide strips the top round off. This is the one failure that I did have a few times with these mags. During mag change drills I had the mag hang up a few times and I had to manually strip or bounce the gun hard in the air to have gravity and inertia work together. But, out of 2000+ rounds I don't think that is a big bad thing. The big thing for me though, is the ease of cleaning the MecGar with the +2 baseplate on them. For me, being a competitive shooter, I need to be able to rip a mag apart quickly and easily, preferably with no tools, and clean it and put it back together just as fast (yes cleaning it does require a brush). These mags don't allow that. However, they aren't any different than many other mags on the market in that respect. Were the MecGar not available, and were I on a budget (and buying mags can get expensive really quick), I would have problem using these mags. They are very well built, and the finish on them is durable as evidenced by the lack of wear from all the use. The baseplates have also stood up well to being dropped on a concrete floor, which is nice to see.
So, yes I would recommend these to people looking for a good mag at this price point.
I would really like to thank Corwin Arms for sending me these mags, they are the real heroes here and that means a lot to me. I will keep them in mind when I am looking to buy guns and accessories for sure.
