How do you like the SSAtrigger over the stock trigger ?

I'm really liking them...a lot. The sights are great, low-profile when not deployed, and really precise when they are. The front post of the Micro is a thing of beauty...it's a lot thinner than the standard M4/AR post, so it makes shooting at distance a heck-of-a-lot easier. The KX3 is what it is...works as it should directing everything down range. Only thing is that I wish it were a bit smaller. Not that I notice a downside to handling the rifle with it, but it adds that extra length to the muzzle, and kinda' takes away from the whole "shorty" profile of the rifle. As soon as I have a bit more time (and cash!), I'm gonna' try to test out a few other muzzle devices that aren't as lengthy as the KX3, but that have similar characteristics...then again, I may even just go back to the A2, since I am a fan and not afraid to say it!

I don't think that MK18 has the Geissele installed yet...he's got it on his "Parts on Order" list, and he's going with the SSA-E.

I do, however, have the SSA in my MK18, and also in my DD M4V5. I love it. It was a bit of a tough choice selecting between the SSA and the SSA-E, but in the end, I chose the standard SSA. I liked it so much that I ended up with a second one for my MK18.

For me, when shooting rapid fire, I can't feel the first stage take-up...the trigger just feels like a very finely tuned, single stage trigger. The added benefit, for myself anyway, is that when I'm doing a bit more precision-style shooting, being able to squeeze the trigger and holding it through the first stage take up, makes it much easier to squeeze through the second stage with more control...the clean break makes for a bit better consistency. But that's just me...

I don't want to de-rail this thread, but if you want to know more about the various Geissele triggers, watch this video...Mr. Geissele himself gives you a thorough breakdown of his triggers.

 
Have you seen the new Hera Arms linear Comps @ SGW? I'm liking the Small version personally, I think Trinimon just picked one up recently too, maybe he'll chime in.

I've been looking into the Geissele S3G or Hiperfire 24C triggers recently. Both are roughly the same price, the nod going to the Geissele for being around longer.

I though about picking up one of those Hera Arms linear comps but ended up with a KAW Valley instead. I couldn't justify the $180/$150. on a linear comp.

Very nice, I was going to swap out mine but have decided to stick with the original muzzle device that came on the DD mk18, it kinda grew on me.

not a perfect clone (being black to begin with), but that is where my MK18 is so far and I think it'll stay like so for a good while... only thing I am still thinking of is a Geissele SSA.

Here's my DD MK18, I may one day replace the DD upper/lower with something more clone correct. For now I got pretty much all the accessories I wanted. (G33 magnifier not in picture)

And I love this thing, I just put the blast shield on a while ago, and shot 5.56 out of it for the first time last Friday, and this thing with 5.56 is a flame thrower! I can hear everyone around me is asking the range officers, WTF is that guy shooting?! LOL
 
Can anyone provide clarification on the use of Eotech 512/552s' on the Mk18's ? I see them on older Mk18's posted on the web, but are they still a part of the SOPMOD Kit or have the EXPS 3-0 taken over that niche?

The 552 is in the M4 SOPMOD kit from circa 2006. They still can be seen in use, although it was supplanted by the 553 ( TAN & to a lesser extent black)
