If you have to choose between a colt 6933 and a DD Mk18, which one would you go for and why ? Isn’t better to have an 11.5 in barrel over a 10.3 ? Also, anyone knows the difference between the two barrel profiles ( DD vs 6933 )
Another question, is the barrel profile on the Colt mk18 as shown in this link ( https://www.irunguns.ca/product_detail.php?p=colt-mk18-10-3 ) , the same as the Colt 6933?

Depends on the "mission profile"--if I need reliability I'm going 11.5 or better yet 12.5" GL/SSC, which as Stickman put it "out-Mk 18's the Mk 18 in every way." (IF we can ever get the Crane specs on the SSC gas port like we have on Mk 18...) Better MV too. If pure compactness is all that matters Mk 18 gets the nod. Either way, I'm taking the back end off and slapping in a more forgiving A5 buffer system, and if I need it to be really discreet I'm adding a LAW Tactical sidefolder. Of course, at that point you're more "Derivative" than "Clone," but...
It doesn't really matter at the end of the day, despite the fact that there had been pages of internet discussion on how that extra 1" related to port pressure and dwell time. The loss of velocity by 1" of an already lower velocity doesn't really make a difference in external ballistic.
The bottom line is you won't be able to tell the difference. If it is such a deal breaker, all these mil users out there would have tossed all the MK18 out long time ago.
Buy the one that tickles your fancy. If you want to have a super compact 5.56, buy a SIG MPX PDW.

Ok so how bad will I get flamed if I choose to use a black KAC front sight in lieu on Taupe? Reason I ask is because the Risii that I’m building this off of is black anyways and I really don’t want the taupe sight being the only non black part......

There are PLENTY of Mk18's in the wild with Black 99051 front sights.
