Crusader Arms Crypto

Pictures 31 through 40 below.
The purple is so hilarious will see how mine looks when I get it. Looks nicely machined in all honestly I see no issue there and I come from an engineering background.

How has it performed so far? Seems like very little could go wrong when the bolt carrier and bolt + gas system + buffer tube and spring are all AR15.

Although it's not a functional problem, i find it disturbing that the color doesn't match the rest of the gun.

Attention to details is kinda important, makes me wonder what else they went :"meh, close enough" with...

Ejection port cover holes. Rear hole is definitely drilled out of spec. Lots of pictures the dust covers are crooked

Already posted on that. Zero malfunctions so far but only ran each mag one time so far. 556 isn't too available at the moment unless i want to spend 85c a round.

It's probably the heaviest and grittiest mil spec trigger I've experienced so far. That's my one complaint other than the rough finish and obvious rotary tool marks on the receiver. The hand guard is very sharp as well. Could have used some tumble time prior to being coated.

The charge handle wings flop around a lot too. It leaves me wondering when they will fail and tear off when I go to charge it.

Ah and lastly one of the hand guard screws was stripped and replaced with a different one that is a coarser thread and then sent home. Not very impressed with that.

With all that said I wouldn't be willing to send it back for any of these reasons. It runs.

Well I got a message from Canada post saying that my shipment is delayed so I hope that they didn’t lose it in Toronto or something. Rolls eyes

The magazines aren't so great. I jumped down a few steps with the rifle and three rounds popped out of the bottom magazine.

To anyone wondering about shipping times from Crusader, I purchased a receiver set on the 10th of September, and was just told that they won't be shipping things out for another 14-21 days due to part delays at the border. They are waiting on the receiver pins

Will this ever get a FRT number?
I am sure the FRT/Classification sections of the SFSS are fully aware of this rifle. You can be sure that a FRT entry for the rifle has been prepared. Just matter of tie before it is made public in the FRT.
