There are 3 short barrels listed on the FRT along with the NR barrel length, so yes, they did.Would not surprise me if someone did.

Do we know if any other firearms were FRT banned today? Anyone with a business license that can view the live FRT?
For sure someone didWould not surprise me if someone did.
A plague on them and theirs. There are 3 short barrels listed on the FRT along with the NR barrel length, so yes, they did.
Technically it's not it was built to comply with C21 but I don't make the laws
The question is, is a "variant" of a named Restricted Firearm, Restricted?lets say PP wins a majority, and undoes the OIC bans fairly quickly. AR-15s are legal to use again, great, but the crypt and modern sporter are now considered variants of the AR.
the AR was classified as restricted regardless of barrel length.
would this mean that, presuming the OIC was lifted, that the modern sporter and crypt would be restricted regardless of barrel length because their FRT now states they are AR variants?
Very true. And this sets an alarming precedent for other guns with no FRTs for which manufacturers are thinking they may have pulled a fast one on the feds. I was very close to buying one of another make and model (shall not name here) last week but given what happened to the Crypto I shall think more carefully…I hate to be a nay-sayer... The doom and gloom guy... But like...
Honestly, you guys didn't see this exact outcome happening, the moment that Crusader Arms chose to play the no-FRT game?
This isn't a reclassification, this is the initial classification...
So in the eyes of the RCMP, it was prohibited from the beginning: If it was never non-restricted then it was never the sale of a non-restricted firearm to a licensed individual.
FatCatsDad the Crusader 9 is a different model, armalytics won't have it updated yet because they are showing a March 9th version of the FRT. Only specific businesses/verifiers etc can view the live FRT.

I wouldn't call years of federal prison time and a lifetime weapons prohibition 'small stuff'.Live your life, mind your own business and quit worrying about the small stuff
I have to agree with this. Let's not forget that the GTA elected blackface 3 times in a row. They are easily stupid enough to do it one more time.I’ve seldom been let down betting on the ignorance of Canadians.
Don't let them define the language. The crypto is most certainly not an AR variant. It is a clean sheet design that uses generic AR spec internal parts, the same as many other rifles that are also not variants of the AR.It’s a modified ar15.
I suppose they need to follow upAssuming a person has one or more of these evil rifles, what the #### are they supposed to do with it now?

FRT isn't law but the gov does what ever it wants as it is a communist government, they couldn't care less about the laws.... All the guys who should have known better posting the mag well mod dint help either...
Everyone who bought one is a criminal and is not covered by the 2020 oic for amnesty or buyback money. As the purchase was afterwards.
I suppose they need to follow up
With the the people they sold them to.
