Rack the bolt, Send the bolt forward (set the trigger) Push the take down pin out and slide the lower backwards.Hey guys, gotta a question to know if it happened to anyone. I received my Crypto last Friday at 3pm and they banned it at 4pm, none less, I soon as as I got it, I went fishing with it and all of the sudden the boat started taking water and I ended up losing it in a boating accident the very same day before I saw the FTR, but when I had it, I tried to take it down but its almost like the 2 pins in the front were offset which made the disassembly, again before I had my boating accident, very difficult to split the receiver apart. Anyone experienced this and found a fix in case I end up draining the St-Lawrence river to find it back?
Not at all, yours were the Cadillac's and are already talked about longingly, and while they were still 'legal' the EE used to reflect the great value assigned to them. I talked that way about the Crypto's as they were very recently banned, no slight made nor implied.lmao.
You say that like they were the first... or even second or third.
ATRS (arguably 3 different models), Maccabee SLR, SA TSR (complicated), Lockheart Raven... Then I'm probably forgetting one or two...
If you fight every battle, you'll be too worn out to fight the important ones.Just wait until these communists come for everything you own, your wife and kids and you were to busy writing witty posts about communists taking your stuff instead of realizing how much trouble you're in.
I dont mind the renegade too much. The major complaints are that the bolt doesn't always go into battery so you've got to push the bolt forward a touch. And I am prone to light strikes with ppu ammo.My Lockhart "Raven" was a great NR rifle right up to the point that the Lieberal government decided it was too scary for a disabled combat veteran to continue owning and enjoying, and so they banned it by changing the status to Prohibited. The major front and rear components from that formerly NR rifle will now migrate to a 3rd rifle, all entirely thanks to a succession of Lieberal lies. "You can't have this firearm any longer, but can go buy a different design". So that is what I did, and went out and purchased a Bill C21-compliant Crusader Arms "Crypto" Receiver Set with a proprietary 5-round magazines and no compatibility with AR15 Receivers. I swapped the Raven front and rear components onto the Crypto Receiver set and was a happy camper again for exactly 1 day, when the Lieberals once again decided that the new rifle was suddenly also Prohibited. So now, the original Raven Barrel Assembly and Buffer/Tube Assembly will soon find their way to their 3rd home on a NR Maple Ridge Armoury "Renegade" Straight-Pull Receiver Set. No longer semi-automatic, this Pull to eject with spring-assisted reloading system will have to do until such time as there is a positive change in Canadian firearms legislation. Welcome to the 1880s for "modern" firearms design - only in Kanada.....
This sort of desperation occurs when you have 10K rounds of mixed 5.56mm and .223 cal ammo and suddenly possess no legal way to expend it.....
Are you planning on getting the Akdas semi-auto .223 hunting style rifle some forum vendors are selling? This sort of desperation occurs when you have 10K rounds of mixed 5.56mm and .223 cal ammo and suddenly possess no legal way to expend it.....
I ended up getting one of those Taipan x ones after all the 180 style rifles got bannedMy Lockhart "Raven" was a great NR rifle right up to the point that the Lieberal government decided it was too scary for a disabled combat veteran to continue owning and enjoying, and so they banned it by changing the status to Prohibited. Not a chance. I despise Steel and Walnut, unless it takes the form of a Battle Rifle such as the FN FAL, M14, BM59, or the like. "Commercial" designs do not interest me in the least. I have a hard time with the MRA Renegade as it is, but at least it sort of looks the part and accepts many of the same components...Are you planning on getting the Akdas semi-auto .223 hunting style rifle some forum vendors are selling?
I wonder if a local Canadian company may make a more "Tactical" looking chassis for the Akdas, like similar ones for the SKS? Only time will tell. Not a chance. I doubt it, it will only end up on a list like this (spit) in short order (probably well before they have recouped their R&D costs)I wonder if a local Canadian company may make a more "Tactical" looking chassis for the Akdas, like similar ones for the SKS? Only time will tell.

I forgot to mention there is a company coming out with accessories for the Akdas Alcor. They're not a sight sponsor but they currently already make handguards for the TM22 and stock adapters for the Henry Homesteader.

Cruarms do the funny, NOWCanadian gun manufactures have the chance to do the funniest thing right now... where's that receiver set Spectre Ltd teased? Lol.
Imagine a constant cat and mouse game with new model receiver sets getting released, then banned. Honestly if the receivers alone were only a couple hundred bucks I wouldn't even be mad. I mean it took them 2 years to ban the Crypto right? Crusader should release a new slightly different receiver set called the "Fiat" or something, then I can just swap my parts over

dealer websites have nothing to do with law and keeping you out of trouble. What āofficialā websites? So, silly question .. official websites are still not listing Crypto as prohibited - does that mean that we can still take it to the range and use it until it gets listed?
Speaking of getting Crypto officially on the prohibited list - when is the next round expected to happen?
Frt is opinion not law. Youre not going to get arrested for bringing your crypto or atrs to a range. Find me one article or police tweet of someone being arrested for shooting an OIC firearm letalone an frt. Only way is if you have some self policing, bootlicking goodytooshoes who rats you out.So, silly question .. official websites are still not listing Crypto as prohibited - does that mean that we can still take it to the range and use it until it gets listed?

I would recommend holding off on setting any legal precedents until after a regime change, whenever possible. The question is whether or not the RCMP, under the "evergreen" policy of this government, has the authority to make classifications.
Might be worth determining if this authority is legally binding.
Has anyone, an individual or firearms association, done this?
